Thought I was seeing things, but having checked 3 times, they play at home on Saturday lunchtime and then travel to Millwall on Monday night
Both games Live on Sky of course.... they really do take the p!sh.
If this doesn't interfere with their promotion, then great ££££ in, but bet Jimbo would have something to say

In the NPL days Morecambe used to play Good Friday , Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
I know it sounds like the Monty Python sketch about Yorkshire-men having a tough life but they got on with it , it was the same for everyone.

We did indeed.
I've got a 1986/87 season Boxing Day programme here from a home game with Mossley. 26th December 1986.
The following day, 27th, we played away at Buxton.

Further back in time the records show that Christmas Day was a full Football League programme with a full programme on Boxing Day too.

Blimey, al you hear now is overworked players, possibly playing twice a week. The game is faster generally, but it makes you wonder how they managed to cope - no bottled water or energy drinks being thrown at them either.
Bet the modern player couldn't kick those caseys with these modern coloured slippers they wear and the laces would spoil their manicured hairdos

Paul Lambert was on Radio Lancs this morning moaning about the fact his Blackburn Rovers side have played 11 games in 35 days.
My heart bleeds. It really does....
Bloody lightweights.

Cracking story this of Chelsea and Manchestoh' Citeh' both having to play on the Saturday, and then each other on the Sunday, in a
Wembley Final - as recently as 1986!
Mark Lillis was involved in this game. I remember it well !!

I was there. Great game, at 5-1 up Chelsea thought it was over but City had a right go and very nearly pulled it back.
There were more than 68k there, I have some pictures somewhere and it was really busy!

As a Chelsea programme collector at the time Freez I obtained the programme from our Programme Shop at Christie!
Wish I still had it.
Quite a valuable one nowadays.

Didn't look a top of the table side tonight, Duffy fluffed a golden chance early on
