That's 2 new midfielders , McKnight and Oliver. Presumably both being with a view of permanent signing.
There must be some midfielders going out the other way

3 loan signings is good but we need to see them in our league to see if they cut the mustard before we commit to offering them a contract next season. Looks as though there will be a major overhaul of the present squad and about time too. Personally I'd like former Forrester to get a deal even though he didn't play many minutes for us but he did enough to show that he would be a more than useful player once settled into a squad routine.

Neil, I actually disagree with you on pretty much everything there. Just a difference of opinion, but I don't dislike the squad we have, I just think it's not been used to best effect, and as for 'about time too', the squad changes that much season on season that I think that's unfair. I also saw little in Forrester in the little I saw him play which gave me reason to want him as a permanent signing. I see this as more a case of we're already looking at players for next season to replace those we either can't, or don't want to, keep.

Phil, due to a recurring illness I won't be there this afternoon so would welcome your observations if any of the new guys make an appearance.

Sorry to hear you're unwell Neil. I suggest keeping an eye on SVs during the game, as I'm sure Lancashire Shrimp will keep you appraised of the goings on. I'll try to chip in at half time, although if it's a thoroughly dull game I'll probably be on sooner.
Get well soon.

Oliver was funny, stockton was a bit clumsy, not really enough time for anyone to tell though.

Correct Bill, he wasn't worth a start, he didn't get one, coming on as sub!!
And I think judging him on half an hour with ten men against a top three side is a tad harsh!!

When I said start freez I meant as a sub sorry , still say he looked clueless .

Sorry for the delay Neil, but since it was my opinion you asked for...
Oliver played the whole second half, and as has been said, we were down to 10 men, and no one covered themselves in glory (although O'Hara's motm was deserved - the only bit of my prediction 100% correct). He made some very wayward passes early doors, but settled down a little, as did the whole team, when it was rather late in the day. Stockton didn't get long, and showed little to make a decision either way. Same for Oliver really, so we'll take it all under advisement and watch again a week tomorrow.

Thanks for the honest assessment. As others have said not enough time to judge but when you compare our new loanee v those Accy have got I suggest that we really are the poor neighbour....at the moment.
Like all others I hope that as and when / if the sale goes through that whoever the manager at that time is given the resources to enable us to mount a season long promotion push.

Its worrying that the Blackpool dude can't get into what is an appalling Blackpool team.

Chatting to a mate of mine last night who is a 'Pool fan and his exact words were, "I've seen milk turn quicker".
Oliver didn't have the best of afternoons, but who did? Except O'Hara.

Oliver hit a lovely pass to Beels with the outside of his right peg, it will be coached out of him quickly though. Stockton did not do too much but what has Paul Mullin done wrong?

How many parts does the club management have? Is this line of questioning designed to take the blame away from Jim and put it on to Ken?
