The Globe - The Facts

First time poster.

All the issues surrounding the move to the Globe and its impacts on a variety of aspects both on and off the pitch have been discussed many times here. One facet is of course the poor home results. So, in the rigorous Germanic tradition, I thought it would be interesting to see the extent following the move in 2010 season by season, based on results recorded within the Soccerbase database. Enjoy the attached spreadsheet. Bet your Good Friday evening hasn't been as exciting as mine! Feel free to point out any inevitable errors and expand if you are even less cooler than I.

As you can see, a win percent of just 30% really is poor. Being shit at home is a statistical fact. We're on course to beat our worst ever league season at the Globe, and can at best equal it by drawing all our remaining home games.

A question arising is that it is surely not good enough to continually stave off the threat of relegation, relying as it does on maintaining, season after season, a better than average away record.

This summer is perhaps the most crucial in the club's recent history since the decision to go pro in 2002.

Probably didn't need to be viewed at 125% for starters!

Shouldn't the cup games be 15 with 26% wins?

People were moaning about drawing too many 2 or 3 years ago, so we have cured that problem

So if Jim gets home wins against Barnet, Hartlepool and Cheatange he'll have won more home league games than any other season!

Still it proves how poor we've been at home. From Fortress Christie to the House of Straw.

Grim reading. Many have committed to 25+ home games a season and the best return they have had in five seasons is nine wins in all competitions.

Our entire tenure up to press at the globe has obviously been in league 2, so technically even our worst ever finish, will be better than any finish at christie park in the clubs history.

Crucial point though. We could probably improve them stats...by being relegated. Same for style of play..easier to play good stuff when your better than the opponents like we were in non league.lies, damn lies and statistics!

I wouldn't be so sure! Look at Stockport and Torquay for example.
