It's a shame the club don't post on here:

I'd have thought the idea would be to promote traffic to the official site? :? The story was posted on Facebook. Personally, I don't like Facebook for 'conversations' because stuff gets lost too easily. It's here today, gone tomorrow generally, so given that this doesn't cost the club more than thirty seconds to post interesting news and a link...

Anyway...

Alex's red card is mentioned elsewhere in other threads. Read the story here...

It was suggested at the SADARSE meeting, I will mention it at the next meeting as Mike Hinchcliffe is very keen to improve the sharing of information via social media from the club.

Can't see "them" posting on an unofficial message board.
Various staff members have tried and stopped.
MFC Club Shop posted for a bit too, but probably finds it easier not to get involved.
If there was an official poster, it would show just how much bullsh!t is spouted on here.

Would it be fun without speculation

I agree the club shouldn't get involved in discussions, it is a no win situation for them. But simple headline & link to a news story would be a good way to promote traffic to the official web site. Especially so when it is 'good news'.

Simples! They post on Facebook, so do both at the same time.

It would be especially useful that that tiny minority of us for whom ShrimpsVoices is their ONLY social medium. (And I'm not even involved with SADARSE! )

I am going to ask Hinchy's permission to do a SADARSE, report weekly ,approved by himself before posting, if thats ok, see if it is of any use.

Sorry Keith. No chance. The club 'own' the Facebook page and can push the content out to 10,000 plus likes. Something goes on here and people have to find it.

I must admit to not really knowing how Facebook works, but I very rarely get any updates from the club appearing on my FB page. The one about Alex I only found because it was commented upon in the supporters FB page and appeared from there.

I'm sure you are right, that it won't change, but for about 30 seconds of someone's time, it would appear a no-brainer to me.
