We are going to stay up conceding more than 80 goals

If you say something for long enough... He's advocated sacking Jim forever (but still couches it with 'sorry to say'. He's derided people who go to games and basically said they shouldn't. He claims to support the club but only ever slags the club off. He's always 'too busy working' to go to games, but doesn't go even when he's on holiday. Or when someone else offers to pay for his ticket. He claims to support the club but won't put money in to the club by getting Morecambe Player. Instead, his assessment of Jim Bentley's management is based upon BBC stats and misquoting or taking out of context, Derek Quinn on Radio Lancashire, for example earlier in the season, when Quinney was talking about the view from the commentary box being obstructed and that it was "awful", in BS world, it became something like 'Derek Quinn said it was awful to watch' (or something similar).
So yes, if watching Morecambe on teletext makes you correct...
Otherwise, giving him credit is, well, BS.

But apart from that he's right

And if it was Sammy McIlroy everyone would have wanted him sacked by now, so why should Jim be different because he is an ex captain/player.

To be fair he's not the only one, Lancashire Shrimp had the same opinions. Do you think they may be related?

Oh well if conceding 80 goals plus is OK with an ex defender in charge then so be it
Lets all celebrate surviving because two teams are worse than us

Fact remains the only way that Jim is leaving us is if he walks or a new owner takes over. We can't afford to sack him and pay compensation even if (and I'm far from sure of this) the majority of the fans think he ought to go.

Sack him for gross misconduct and not chuck him a bean. In any other walk of life you do not get compo for being shit at your job.

Our board took a chance & gave Jim & Ken new deals which they got horribly wrong. We are stuck with Mullin's for another season because we expected more from him & now we can't off load because we are skint.

he could still come good yet, not the only one who's been off form this season.

Spot on. Many fans are still critical of Sammy even though he got us promoted and only had one bad season. Jim is clearly a nice guy and has made many friends during his long time here. This is working to his advantage but at the same time it's damaging the club. Nobody is bigger than the club.

Even Jim's biggest frie....fans must be starting to doubt his ability to "turn it around". Leaving your best player on the bench because he dares to sign for a bigger club? In my eyes, that is robbing the fans. I pay my money and expect to see the best players play, not to see him left on the bench by a manager who has lost the plot. As it was said in another post, the pro Bentley lot are more harmful to the club than the man himself.

On a positive note we will quite likely be playing Blackpool next season.

Any other manager and it would be time to go.
I love what you have put into the club Jim and the majority of fans respect you but it is time to call it a day (at the end of the season).
Nobody can persuade or justify to me about paying £21 for the stuff that has been shown at home.

We were VERY poor mate.
I lost interest (I'm embarrassed to say
) after their second went in early on.
Just want this season to end now I'm afraid. Never said that before in my 30 years of support either.

I can confirm that I am not Blackpool/Lancashire Shrimp and I can confirm he is not the only one who wants Bentley out. I have been watching Morecambe for over 30 years now so the club means everything to me. We used to be the little club fighting against the odds and then we became the little club with big ambitions. We are now hanging on as a league club, obsessed with the clubs finance and we smile politely when we get a hammering at home. Its sad to see the club like this, my heart sank when that second goal went in today. We are becoming a nothing club and will be laughed out of this league next season if nothing changes.

On a positive note thanks to the expected capitulation today all was not lost.... 2 season ticket holders won £45.00 today!! Bet on us to lose and both teams to score!! Perhaps that's what JB is doing all the time he is fiddling with his phone!!
Helped with the refreshments in the bar after the game, although there was no sign of the usual waiter!m Though he was seen in his best bib and tucker later!
