Ched Evans o/t

Ched Evans has had his rape conviction quashed due to fresh evidence coming in during the appeal. If his case is successful he'll make a return to football ASAP. Long way to go but would anyone welcome him to morecambe if he's found not guilty ??

Totally irrelavent as if he is found to be innocent he will not consider playing for one of the worst teams in the football league, and we could never afford the 10 grand minimum he could expect a week in wages, you are just fishing.

You're joking aren't you, he'll pick the highest team he can lay his hands on for 12 months and play every week to get in the shop window.

We'd be a great choice.

In football you just never know. If I was the manager id certainly be offering a contract if found not guilty. He's been out the game a few years now no club is going to jump in the deep end and pay big wages for him !

I said on the original thread that, even if he was subsequently found innocent, I wouldn't want him at Morecambe, because frankly what he did was seriously reprehensible even if he didn't rape the girl. He has a steady girlfriend, but sees his mate copping off with a girl and thinks "Ooh, I fancy a bit of that", goes back to his mate's hotel, persuades the night manager to break the law by letting him into the room, then gets sloppy seconds off the girl his mate's just been with, when she's barely (if at all) conscious. Please let him stay as far from Morecambe as possible.

Aren't Colchester United on a worse run than us since the turn of the year? Can't even be best at being worst! :D

Pretty impressive of Chesterfield to manage to have more unhappy fans than us.

Legally speaking, if his previous conviction as been quashed, technically, he's classed as innocent till proven guilty in the new trial.

Chesterfield said its a decision they didn't take lightly.
