Thanks for everything Andy and good luck for the future. We know what happens when we set a thread up like this...

Think the release of Andy might turn out to be a mistake.
Good luck Andy and thanks for your efforts over the years. i've only seen you on away games in the South West but always thought you put in a shift and made some goal saving tackles over the years.

It'll be our loss not his. Good player will get picked up by a bigger club no problems.

Thanks for the memories, Andy. This has been on the cards for a few weeks now, you looked so proud holding the litte'un yesterday. Will miss ya dad too. Good luck to you and your family and all the very best.
Andy wasn't always the greatest of talents, but he was Morecambe through and through and put in 100% effort for the shirt IMO. This year he has been twiddled around in different areas once again and it hasn't worked. There are certainly others in the defence to take the 'blame'.
He will now be on his way to L1. Probably difficult to offer him a deal as we would then have had to pay for a testimonial, so can't be having that
We all dream of a team of Parrishes, a team of Parrishes... No.1 is Andy Paz and No.2 is Andy Paz

Fantastic servant since signing for us in the Summer of 2008.
Thanks for everything Paz. Your goal and celebration v Daggers will live LONG in the memory
Like others, I've heard the rumours over the past few weeks but your "goodbye wave" on Saturday whilst proudly holding your new arrival was (for me) confirmation you were leaving us.
All the
very best.

Thankyou and good luck in the future Andy , strange decision if it was MFC and not you, that made it.

I m sure Andy will get fixed up pretty quick.
He will slot into a settled organised defence and be rock solid.
Ours has looked like a cross between Fred Karno's Circus and The Keystone Cops at times this season.
IMHO Paz would have made a better stand in skipper than Beeley but that's all history now.
Good luck Paz.

good luck Andy, I would have kept you, can't do all the defending on you're own, think you missed a decent partner to play along side this season.

This sums it up for me, just short of numbers on their backs

A case of Padraig Amond repeating itself.
Could turn out to be a good thing for Andy, money wise.
IF Dugdale is kept at the expense of Paz........

Good luck Paz.
Bad decision in my eyes if he is being released over Dugdale. We will struggle to find a player who has Parrish's versatility to play anywhere across the back line. Might have had a poor season by his standards, but certainly not the worst out there.
Having said that, people do need to go for us to improve and bring new people in. Jim will also have to consider how much players are on and what he can bring in for that. I would still expect further defenders to be leaving though.

Very sorry to see Paz go. At his best he kept quiet some of the best strikers in the League and above with some superb defending. Said it many times about his performance against Clayton Donaldson at Crewe when we needed a result and Donaldson was on fire. He took him out completely and was the basis for a great win. Willing to play wherever he was asked, which helped us in the years where we struggled for a decent right back. Also a lovely bloke with a great family who were very much a big part of the club. His only goal at home to Dagenham in front of over 4,000 was superb and only Baz's goal v Pompey or Podge's v Chesterfield has seen wilder goal celebrations.
I remember his first game (?) away at Notts Forest when we got stuffed and he looked like bambi on ice - or later Bernie Clifton's comedy ostrich. He's always looked awkward but it didn't stop him becoming a solid defender and a loyal and committed player for us. Sadly I believe some don't rate him and it sticks. He doesn't contribute on set pieces and he's paid the price. Wrongly in my view but there you go.
If Paz isn't good enough then Dugdale and Beeley should go too without any second thought. Also Edwards would be on borrowed time with only youth on his side.

Disappointed in Edwards me this season after his outstanding games last season.
Still, same could be said of Beeley too of course.

Sad to hear Andy's gone, not the worst defender out there. His versatility is probably his downfall, rather than being first choice in one position, he's played in too many positions. Good luck Andy, hope you're sorted soon.

Can't see him scoring 37 goals next season myself...
Sorry to see him released.

I would echo all the previous comments.
Fair enough, he didn't have a good season but unless he was a high earner, it's not the decision I would have made.
Good luck Andy and thank you. I think he'll find himself a league 2 side personally.

Any news or rumours of where Andy will be playing next season as yet? Like the comments above he wasn't at his best last season but still a valuble member of the squad and a fan favorite in my opinion. Be good to hear if he has managed to find himself another L2 club

Nothing at all on Parrish.
I think (other than the kids) there's only him and Alan Goodall who haven't got fixed up somewhere else yet.
