OFF BLOODY TOPIC: Replica shirts

Hi

We are currently researching the growth in the buying and wearing of
replica football shirts by adult fans since the 1970s. We are aiming to
gather the experiences and opinions of fans who have bought or been
given replica shirts (be it occasionally or every season!), and
of fans who have never owned a replica shirt. We are keen to hear
from fans of all ages
- and particularly those aged over 40, who
might have bought replica shirts in the 1980s and early 1990s.

We'd be very grateful if you'd be willing to complete our short survey
(should take 5 minutes at most).

You can access it here:
https://sheffieldmanagement.eu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_1ZKfCxCVjLAyQJL

Thanks for your time :)
Chris Stride (University of Sheffield) and Nick Catley (Independent
researcher).

Why do we seem to have an influx of these surveys appearing on here?

We never see the results. I wouldn't mind if it was a regular poster who at least had an input into the forum needing help for University assignment, but this doesn't appear to be the case.

Might just be me getting old.

My view entirely. Don't ask. Don't properly introduce themselves. Never, ever post results. Basically they think we're their lab-rats to perform & be tested. Personally, I never answer any of them, but some people may want to, so I'll leave them up. For the time being.

CC will probably be filling it in as we speak, advising the author, ''Don't produce any tops with the names Bentley, McKenna, Fleming or Mark Dixon on them :)

Looks like this has been posted on all 92 forums.

This was interesting on the Blackpool Forum, Back Henry Street:

"took the survey got to end and clicked on one of kits it took me to a link where I could buy a historic replica, to me this seems like a sales ploy. Not research for studies."

Thanks to all who have completed our survey (see start of thread) :) We have had over 2,500 responses from fans of the 92 league clubs! If you haven't completed the survey yet and would like to, then you have until the end of the month before we close it and analyse the data.

Just so you know, it's an academic study and we're not making any money from it.

Cheers
