Were there to have been news, do you not think there would have been a several page thread with the same old posters having the same old arguments about it?

Even if those in the know did post, until the club confirmed it you'd have the usual shower of pricks whining how it's not true until the club confirm it anyway, despite posting any amount of rumours themselves.

Preston have enquired but that's all it's been so far. I was told the club are trying to get Barky to sign a new deal to up his value because we won't get much for him with only having one year left on his deal

This surprises me , I think Barky is a good league 2player and can probably cut it in league 1 but Championship ??? I'm not so sure.

Preston are after a wide player but they are expected to try and sign a player called Reach who was on loan with them last season.

Totally agree with you, there is far better players in his position in league 2 and league 1 they could go and sign. I was surprised when I heard about it

His dad, John Reach, played for Barrow around 1989/1990 time.
Going back to Barky, I'm sure Preston fans would be overjoyed to see an ex Blackpool player in their colours...!!

Surely if we really had new owner(s) close we'd be trying to hang on to him. On the other hand if there wasn't a new owner imminent we'd almost certainly cash in.

Think we're hoping to get around £175k be difficult with only one year left tho. That's our 3 main players from last season who'll be gone if he does leave. You can't help but fear the worst next season !

that money should go on a beast of a target man who's like 6.5ft, like Parkin(of old) a few seasons ago for Fleetwood at the Globe when he banged an hatrick and bullied our defenders.

If there's no new owners, it will go towards the club's losses, like Jack's last year. Jim won't see any of it. There's no reason at all why the losses won't be as bad, or worse this coming season. It may mean the difference between survival and insolvency!

I would be surprised if Bolton do sign Barky. To me he has to be a lot more consistent to be a player in a team aiming to win promotion to the Championship.

I wonder if Simon took a good look as Barky the other night.

5 minutes before his goal I said to my mate , ''Barky hasn't done anything to impress them lot tonight!''.
