I told everyone about this weeks ago just after winnard signed. I've just got back from France that's why I haven't been on much the last couple of weeks. Let's hope there's a few more to announce in the next few weeks !

Look at the posts, only mentioned we was talking to mccarten but I was already told Wakefield was tied up weeks ago. Hopefully mccarten does follow I haven't heard owt whilst I've been away tho

All this talk about relegation, how the hell are they going to get past our 11 man defence .

The problem with an 11 man defence is no one will be scoring goals , 46 0-0 draws should be enough to keep us up ????

I was hoping for a couple of own goals Bill and just get us over the 50 mark.

The defence is looking a lot better than last season already.

If we can sign an experienced 6 foot 2 inch defender that knows how to mark people we will have the defence pretty much signed up.

Sorry Accy released him he only made 9 starts steady enough player but IMHO nothing special wish him well though along with all our ex players you keep signing.

Saves a lot of time, phone calls and travelling doing your shopping in one place ... must have a discounted loyalty card

Sorry Accy released him he only made 9 starts steady enough player but IMHO nothing special wish him well though along with all our ex players you keep signing.

You sign some of our ex players , Mark Hughes , Scott Brown and Laurence Wilson previously........

John Coleman? Mark Shirley?

Mind we did sign about six players from Accy when we brought their manager in the 80's. Chris Grimshaw and a few others who weren't very good, and Eric Whalley eventually resigned saying the job was too big for him!!!!

Doesn't have to be exactly 6 foot 2. But over 6 feet to be able to win a lot of headers in our area and also score a few goals like The Moose used to.

I remember going to Barrow with Neil Marsdin when Eric was manager. We got spanked about 4-0 or 4-1 and Neil asked him what he was going to do about it. Eric replied , what can I do about it ? Neil told him he could do something about it because he was the manager !

Burnsy was signed from them, yes.

Jim did play for Stanley but (I think) we signed him from Mossley?
