According to the Blackpool Fans site a protest against the Oyston's is planned by the Blackpool fans for our first home league game against the 'pool.
I'm sure that our Board are well aware of the planned action and that plans are in place to handle whatever happens.

They protest against the Oyston's every game to be fair.
Rightly so as well (in my opinion).
Just been reading the excellent Blackpool Forum, Back Henry Street, and there is talk of them setting up their own club like FC United Of Manchester did.
General consensus is that changing their allegiance to AFC Fylde is definitely not an option as they have taken Preston North End Ladies FC under their wing and merged or something like.
Back Henry Street is an excellent read (but be aware of the language on there...!!) and there is also a massive thread on the meeting which was held on Saturday at which the 80 year old Owen Oyston met the fans for the first time in ages and was (naturally) booed and heckled throughout.

I would suspect the extra cost of police and stewarding will outweigh the benefit of a decent crowd. They are saying that if it is all ticket then the protest will be outside - great!!
Hurley Flyer will make a fortune

Yeah, if they could restrict their protest to outside that would be great, and leave the rest of us who want to watch a football match to it.

How to lose friends and alienate people eh? What are they hoping to achieve by ruining matches for other clubs? Particularly small clubs that are struggling badly like us.
Go and set up an AFC Blackpool until the Oystons give back your club.

A massive shame that Blackpool legend and all round nice bloke, Brett Ormrod has felt he had to move his testimonial to Fylde, its in august, to avoid the day being spoiled.

AFC Blackpool is not a protest club. It was known as Blackpool mechanics and with merging with other local sides was renamed in 2008. The club has been around in various names since the second world war!
Just the same as Rochdale Town in the same league was previously known as castleton gabriels. the name was changed to try to "relaunch" the club

There was a Blackpool team called "Wren Rovers".
Are they still going or have they changed to another name

Rochdale Town have just been kicked out of the NWCL mate too !! Ground grading issues....
I remember going to watch Morecambe play at Blackpool Wren Rovers in December 1989 when Wren played at the now demolished Blackpool Greyhound Stadium. What an absolute shithole THAT place was.
Morecambe won the game 4-3 but, what was the most notable thing about the game oldie worldie Shrimps fans??!!

We sat next to Andrea Lavelle (wife of Ben, very attractive woman) in the stand and she turned to my mate and asked "Are we the Shrimps then"?
He was dumbstruck, looked at me in silence, looked back at her and replied "yeah" in a very silly high voice!!!
He was literally speechless!!!
With it being 89 I would say it was somebody's debut?? Robbie A? Gary D? Coley? Paul Thommo was against Goole so it aint him. Adder?

It was Bryan Griffiths and Dave Jones' first match in charge of us Freez !!
Neither Dulla, Tommo, Coley nor Robbie had joined us at this time - and Adder had departed (for the first time) for his ill fated stint at Southport - from where he later returned to us of course.
