A Good, Positive, Start!

Three pre-season games played, no goals conceded and looking good going forwards.

I've not seen any of the games, but for pre-season workouts they sound like there were plenty of positives. Do I detect a little bit of confidence sneaking in? Are we going to confound the bookies yet again? Could we, actually, just a teeny-weeny bit, start looking forward to the season getting underway? :D

Supporter confidence for a successful season is built on a promising ser of pre season results. But let's not forget the season that followed after that superb pre season result v Wolverhampton.

No, let's FORGET the season that followed the Wolves result and concentrate on the positives of this one I say.

All is looking good so far.

As I posted a good positive pre season to date but just stating that other seasons have not fulfilled our undoubted potential shown in pre seasons past.

I'm afraid we'll just be repeating ourselves again next season.

Just had a look at the video of the build up for the excellent worked 4th goal and in particular the way that Kevin ran up to our second year academy player Steve Yawson who provided the inside pass for Bark''s to score and put his arms around him in congratulations followed up by his fellow team mates who obviously appreciated the lads pass and thought in the build up. I've often thought that Kevin has a lot to offer our younger players and maybe last seasons involvement will grow this season He obviously knew of the lads potential.

For me Kevin is a future manager.....somewhere.

An excellent build up on the deck....more of the same please. :) :) :)

The academy lad who provided the through ball for Tom Barhuizen was Steven Yawson. I think he is in his second year? When he came on Jimbo shouted to "Kev, look after Stevie". It was great to see the young lad get some involvement with the first team, and the way that all the players ran up to him after the goal. It was probably the moment of the afternoon when seconds later he was put through and gradually fell over when chasing after the ball (obviously full of excitement, he had forgotten how to run!) which he smiled about as did all the coaching staff. Good to see smiles on faces again!

Hi guys.

So where are these highlights that you have seen? Have looked on our own website and on Bury's, but no sign of anything.

Any tips (or links) appreciated.
