Heavy defeat tonight for our "XI" at the Huge Chopper.

I've no idea what line up we had (heavily Reserves influenced I'd say looking at our squad v Burnley) but already the Dolly Blue Wallopers are crowing about their victory over "Morescum" (sic). Arses.

Funny to see their goalie punching the air and cheering each City goal against a team of school boys half his age.

Ref blew up early after 15-20 numpties ran on the pitch and surrounded the players. Walked out to the sounds of kids being abused with lots of lovely expletives. Nice

A chance to see our crop of future Shrimp first teamers at Kendal in the coming weeks... :?: :?: :?:

Lancaster was always going to be a tough game for our youngsters but the game was part of our lads education.

If Lancaster think they have put one over us....so be it.

Sad, Sad Dollies..... :( :( :(

I just think it serves to highlight how low the Dolly Blues have fallen that some of their fans are invading the pitch because they beat our youth team. Its sad really.

On a sidenote, we need to start seeing measurable improvements in our academy system. Ultimatley that means producing players good enough to play in the first team, but a stepping stone would be not getting thrashed every week and not being bottom of each age group league. Theres been a few graduates who probably deserved more of a chance, but McGowan is the only 'home'grown talent to have thus far played more than a handful of games during our time as a FL club.
