Tomorrow is August 1st and an ideal time for any announcement about a take over to be made I would have thought...just a few days before the league starts

Has the club said they will be making an announcement on the 1st August ?

Is it not speculation from the customers, that there may or should be an announcement ?


Where does this, there will be an announcement originate from ?

That's why I included in my post.

Nobody has said there will be a statement but if any deal is close as a number of others have indicated it could be, then the start of a new month would be a logical time to announce it....agree

To be honest, I don't know what the answer is

I thought that you announce something when it happens not keep it secret and plan a date / time to announce.

There have been no further developments with the potential new buyers in the last week so I would be surprised if anything is announced before the following week at the earliest.

I think they should wait until.Septembwr 6th. Its an ideal time to make an announcement and it coincides with mine and Halftimeresults birthday. No point in announcing it before then I think.

When is the Chinese New Year? That might be a good time

I think there is a whole stable out there who don't know either. The ones in the paddock are in the same stable by the looks of it

Do we know if there was no deal to announce yesterday, or a deal has been done but Monday 1 August wasnt the best day to announce it. So difficult!

Probably going to announce it on Friday to give the club a boost for the new season.

The paperwork will be being gone through to cross the T's and dot the I'S as we speak. Then all the changes will need registering with Companies House and the Football League will have to ensure the new owner(s) pass the "fit and proper" test.

So Friday it is

Which Friday?

It'll be an anticlimax when it finally happens (sorry if it finally happens)
