The art of being Constructive

Now, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, can we please please actually do something constructive for a change.
So we started the season badly. Again.
We are deep in the shite. I mean really really deep in the shite. However we've been here long enough to know what relegation looks like.
1. Financial issues left right and centre.
2. Fractured support
3. Wafer thin squad due to 1.
4. Panic sets in, so you spend money you haven't got on loanees and 2 changes of management meaning you are playing squad numbers of over 30 come November.
We got to this league by spending Uncle Pete's money. It's run out. We have the lowest attendance in the league. We have a director sponsoring the club shirts.
So what do you do.
Hartlepool had one of the worst starts ever, stuck with the side, trained hard and found a way to win at the back end of the season when they looked dead for all the world.
Northampton when they were in turmoil, scrapped around in 20th and lower, got the takeover and bought well.
Now we just have to keep our pants dry and not chuck the baby, bath and fittings out with the dishwater. I still that overall, Jim has overachieved in his 5 years here as manager keeping us here. He's having to work tighter and tighter every year and this might be the year he can't do it. Can another manager do better? Possibly. Would that manager want this challenge? Probably not. I don't want us to draft in a manager with no experience of the club who will play at it for a year and sack it off if it doesn't work as it wasn't his players, wasn't his problem. I genuinely think Jim does see this challenge as one he has to see through and every defeat hurts him.
We need a settled team and a fan base that knows we will probably lose more than we win. Equally, we need Jim to come out and be a bit less defensive in interviews now. We've got to a point where the loyal support bay for his blood at every turn and he's now just got his head down and doesn't seem to particularly care.
The club need to utilise the Player service now and get regular input from the team, management and board, and engage with the fan base. There's enough there to do it, they're on instagram enough so they've clearly got a bit of charisma.
Doesn't take much from Jim to say "it's not the best situation that the clubs in, lets be honest, but we have 45 cup finals out there and anything about 22nd is a bonus and we will go into every game going to win. We set up like this because x,y,z and it didn't work. We are training harder and harder and so long as every Morecambe fan backs us, we will keep running and if it's not enough, it's not enough. We've had a great time in the sun"
Equally, it doesn't take much for Kev, Barry and Peter Murphy to come out and be faces for the team after every performance. We should get injured players on the Player coverage maybe giving insights when we are away from home. Pretty sure a few of the team started media degrees at Preston Poly?
Unless the fans or the management come out and break this wall of silence then we really are goosed. Someone needs to but the horse the right side of the cart before we get relegated and we are all pointing at someone else.
Unfortunately I'm not here for the Blackpool game due to family commitments but I'll be at most home games during the course of this season and plenty of aways so I'll be happy to help in what way I can.
Lets have some fun in this last season eh? Do not leave this league thinking what if please folks.
