Feel good factor....

It has been a while since I felt really proud of our team, regardless of the result last night, we were magnificent from start to finish.
At 2-3 down we carried on attacking, playing some great football and creating chances.
Eventually we got some luck with the penalty and Jack Dunn looks a real prospect. However, well done to Cole Stockton who absolutely terrified both centre backs all night, so much so that one was replaced at half time. Also honorouble mentions to Moly and Michael Rose who showed an excellent understanding and kept calm in possession, no wild long passes, just thoughtful ones to feet or into space.
Luke Conlan defended really well and eventually forced their danger wide man to switch wings and Young Alex at CB was brave and again used the ball well when he had it.
It's a young team, Flemo and Kev did well as subs, and obviously Dunn was a breath of fresh air, all the reporters were purring about him, let's hope this isn't a false dawn but that attitude and positive spirit and energy can be harnessed and passed to results and the fans.
Don't care who we get! Well played Shrimps.
Oh and the tin foil and prawn away kit doesn't look bad in floodlights actually!!

Well I have to admit to being pretty depressed after Saturday. Out here they have local betting shops where you can bet on almost anything, and a Cypriot friend of ours just happens to run one such establishment. Yesterday I asked him what odds he would give me on Morecambe conceding 4 goals or more in last night's match. He eventually came up with 6 to 1, and I decided to put £10 (equivalent) on it.
So a double celebration for me, but my friend the bookie has told me to stop rigging matches or he'll report me.

I've been on about Cole keeping both central defenders occupied for some time now. Just a pity that he didn't start last time out with Jack playing in the hole just behind him.

What? I thought the pitch looked lovely.
