Could Blackpool out number us ?

Been reading a few threads on the Blackpool forum and they think they could bring up to 2500 Saturday  hopefully we can pull in more than 1500 fans ourselves and make it a great atmosphere. After a great result Tuesday I can't wait for Saturday now, nothing beats a packed out globe arena with good atmosphere from both fans :D

Segregation could be an issue. Am I correct in thinking the terrace holds 1400, with 300 seats equalling a total away capacity of 1700? Why haven't we given Blackpool the North Terrace? Strong possibility of hundreds of Blackpool fans in home areas.

Need to give them the North Terrace. Otherwise you will just end up with trouble on the turnstiles or in the stands with fans mixing. Blackpool won't be a friendly bunch.

1100 in the Bay Radio Stand and 600 in PMG. Another 600 on North Terrace should just about do it I reckon.

Just checked ticket information and we haven't given them the North Terrace, could be chaos.

Why should we give them the North Terrace? Are we not the home team? Or is it just about the money? Get fed up of us bending over backwards to help the visiting sides (on and off the pitch)! Blackpool were outnumbered by the trotters at home on tuesday night almost two to one! Hopefully they won't be any bother. They can't be as bad as the nobenders in recent seasons

Am I right in thinking its pay on the gate for them if it is then I hope we can accommodate them all in the away end or it could prove problematical, its a bit of a gamble regarding how many could potentially turn up.

Off course we were outnumbered by Bolton and hopefully we will be outnumbered at every home game. The fans are boycotting all home games and cup games because the Oystons receive a share. This game is the only game that some fans will get to see the team all season, so it's a guess how many could potentially turn up. I will start at a minimum of 2000.

And this is the reason why common sense says you have to give Blackpool ample room to meet their demand, otherwise there will be serious safety risks. If we wanted to restrict away numbers the match would have been made all ticket. Unfortunately given our financial situation I think the club saw the £££ and thought pay on the day would mean a few more paying punters on the day.

The Bay Radio Stand has already had its official capacity reduced by about 300 due to the lack of space at the back of the stand. With pay on the gate they will probably have no choice but to keep funneling people in. This happened against Preston a few years ago for a JPT match on a Tuesday and had to overflow into the PMG and North Terrace. I image Blackpool will bring even more for this.

Lets hope the Club are already looking into this and have a plan for Saturday.

I agree. Our fans should always be given priority, and nobody has even considered how many of our own fans might turn up! Bollocks to Blackpool... If they can't get in because the away end's a sell-out, tough shit!

Why not get a massive big screen set up on the 3G pitch and herd all the overspill of Donkey fiddlers in there ;)

We need the money so as many BFC fans as possible would help.

We would much rather Morecambe make the money than the Oystons.
