Driving to Yeovil....chaos

Driving to Yeovil....chaos

Postby Christies Child » Thu Aug 18, 2016 7:05 pm

Brother in Law has just got home to Bristol from in laws in Morecambe after an 8 hour journey.

Both M6 and M5 was chaotic especially the M5 which had road works nearly all the way to the Gloucester area with an enforced 50mph speed limit thanks to overhead cameras.

Best of luck to all those travelling to Yeovil but Saturday with holiday traffic will be just as bad if not worse.

5am start anybody..... :?: :?: :?:

M5 and M6 at Birmingham area had a few accidents this morning which won't have helped.

It's great today, managed to get past Warrington in 2 and a half hours. Just another 8 miles of standing traffic to go, should be there before kick off

Yes, looking over at the other side of the road, particularly M5 and round Stafford for V,I felt quite fortunate

Why were you 'coming back' yesterday? Why not stay on an extra night and go to the game today? Bloody part-time supporters!

So how did that work out then?

Having missed Liverpool friendly, Blackpool and Portsmouth already due to holidays I'm struggling to call myself a part-time supporter.

At least M6 won't be closing later tonight, on account of the seasonal weather.
Here, I mean, at Lancaster!
