Team selection v Yeovil

Same again or possibly Mullers in for Kevin who would come on with 30 to go as impact sub... :?: :?: :?:

For me the front 2 of Cole and Jack needs time to develop and changing that partnership would be a negative move...so keep well alone.

Most likely right of a three attacking midfielders, as he is currently. As for Dunn and Stockton, against Blackpool was their first start, and Pompey Dunn looked lost as he has only had two games of 90 minutes since January, but keep it going!

Not sure if Dunn start will start. Looked shattered on Tuesday and was rightly withdrawn.

But I think barky could prove a nuisance through the middle with Stockton being a target man and Dunn on right with Tom oscillating between Dunn as may cause absolute chaos in the the Yeovil defence

Agreed I thought he looked knackered even in the first half, the problem for me is that we have looked to be a man short in midfield in both of the last two games resulting in us having less possession and defending more than we should be, 47 attempts on goal against us in two games is way to high yes we won both games but we wont keep getting away with it.

So the question is do we continue to play Dunn in that role or play someone who would strengthen the midfield, Mullin has shown that he can do that or Wildig when he is fit but neither would give us the goal threat that Dunn provides, difficult choice maybe Dunn will improve at getting back and helping out in midfield as he gets fitter or it might be that he is more of a out and out striker.

There is Turner who I thought looked very good in that position in preseason so we do have options.

I believe Turner plays on the shoulder of the last man as he is apparently as quick as Tom!! Agree that Dunn looked Dunn in, for the reasons already stated unsurprising as not done 90 mins since January!!
So perhaps Mullers it is then?

Wildig initially they thought it was a while but the swelling on his ankle has gone down and he's making good progress.
Winnard initially was the opposite, it was only going to be a week or two but it's not panned out like that. Will know more tomorrow!

Do we know if Winnard's injury is a continuance of the one that kept him out of the Accy side for a good period last season.

There always the argument that you shouldn't change a winning team but personally if you can still improve in any department then I think it should be done also the opposition has to be taken into account what works against one side doesn't necessarily work against another. But when youve got pace at your disposal, then youve got to be put out wide to trouble the full backs and get in behind the defence. He could always cut inside a few times like he did vs Pompey and like the Blackpool assist he got.

I'd maybe start Moly instead of Kev - Then if, Moly, Conlan or Jack Dunn are having a bad game, Kev could be brought on for all 3 of those as Moly can place so many positions if needed. I agree that we need a solid 1st team with hopefully not many changes being made so players get accustomed. COYS

I agree.Yeovil will expect him to be out wide and if played behind Stocton his pace and movement could cause chaos.

We dont play a front 2, its Stockton up front on his own with Barkhuizen, Dunn & Ellison / Molly behind him.

A few years ago perhaps, but he's getting on a bit now. Perhaps just give him two players to replace and bring someone else on too???

I thought he was the fittest Morecambe player on the pitch against Pompey and certainly looked more interested than Mullin when he came on . Ran straight past him at one point late in the game to put a tackle in while Mullin was still thinking about it.

I was [trying to] make a joke based upon Kev coming on "for all three" rather than 'any of the three', so 'three off, one on'. Sarcasm is wasted when you have to explain it!
