Bury's squad

I not sure how many readers of SVs realise that last nights Bury squad was exactly the same as that featured in their League 1 game v Walsall at the weekend. Every player who started on Saturday or came on as a sub was in the actual starting line for Bury last night.

Despite the 4-1 defeat their squad compared with ours on the night puts a different complection both on the game and the final result.

All credit to our players some of whom have hardly figured in 90 minutes League 2 action so far.

Just one concern last night was that Fleming has now been responsible for the opposition scoring 2 goals in the last two games by loosing the ball in midfield. It also shows for me how we have improved in midfield with Rose in the starting line up.

Well done lads.... :!: :!: :!:

As for the competition, the post match comment of the Everton U23 manager will I'm afraid carry more weight than the dreadful attendances with the League in its assessment of the night. As far as the League will be concerned the welcome comments of the Everton manager will be music to their ears and will justify their misguided belief that the competition will be a success.

Everton aren't really used to winning cup matches are they? :D

Keith, they're on the BBC, on a link posted on (I think) the Player thread for the Bury match. Not good at this link thingy, sure someone else can oblige. I do however agree with CC's comments. Apparently the U23s were 'buzzing' after the game.

This has been posted on another thread. David Unsworths comments are at the bottom.
