Diego Lemos, the future....

Whether it is correct or not, initial information, as Keith alluded to, suggested that Diego would be the figurehead for a Qatari backed bid to take over the club.
The press release seems to suggest that it is solely Diego Lemos, hence the media attention regarding his Brazilian heritage and the first owner from that part of the world in the league.

So is he alone? Or does he have backing, he does his business in Qatar, his family are there, are there money men behind him?

There are many questions which need answering which will quite probably be addressed if he is passed as fit and proper by the FL.
However, I feel that the suggestion of a fans forum could be useful, as charm offensive and particularly to get even more interest and positivity after the good start we have made on the field.

The rumours are of a quiet revamp, hopefully investing sensibly to allow us to grow and take us to the next level, rather than a overnight revolution!!

Interesting times.

An excellent post by Freez who poses a number of vital issues that need clarification.

At the moment everything is up in the air and a need for caution needs to be foremost in our minds as we know very little about Mr Lemos and his financial credibility or that of any other financial backers involved in the projected take over.

I'm sure that Peter and those involved in the discussions to date (Mark Dixon and Nigel Adams) have checked and double checked the credibility of those involved but my thoughts recall a certain Michael Knighton and the way that his take over plans of Manchester United where eventually exposed as being bogus. He eventually took over Carlisle and although his involvement brought initial success to the club it all ended in his enforced resignation and the club once again having to go through the pains of yet another take over.

Like all those connected with our club, I sincerely hope that it works out for all parties but a word of caution until everything is finalised should be upper most in our minds at the moment.

No one, including board members, have any idea what his plans are, assuming it goes through, except possibly the present owner.
