Samsung Galaxy v iPad

Thinking of investing in a new tablet but I'm getting conflicting opinions on what to get from the two above

I've got an iPhone so it would be comparable with iPad, but I've been told Samsung is cheaper and better so all advice would be gratefully received !

I'm not going to be gaming or downloading loads of films etc

Ta !

What are you going to be using them for?

If you have an iphone, any apps you have purchased can also be installed on the ipad.

I've moved from apple to android, due to fact they're cheaper and the storage can easily be expanded and they're a bit more flexible in transferring files.

If you're only using for browsing and iplayer, it's unlikely you need to spend more than £150 on a decent android tablet or a second hand ipad. Some of the top end android tablets and the newest ipads are way overspecced for what people use them for.

I purchased a dual boot 10.1" tablet.
I use the Android OS (5.1) most of the time for Kodi, internet, Sat Nav, controlling the MFC scoreboard and watching movies or listing to music.
Then I use the Windows 10 OS for work related stuff using Microsoft Office and cloud storage.
Wife has a Sumsung (Android 6) as that does everything she wants.
I'll show you at footy today if you are there.

As others have said, what are you going to use it for? If you'll be watching TV/movies etc, then you want to spend a bit more and get a decent screen. Top end Samsung or iPad. If you just want web browsing on the move etc, a cheaper Android tablet is fine. My mum has a cheaper Samsung and it looks fine, until you put it next to my [when I bought it] high end Samsung, then hers looks cheap.

If you've got an iphone and don't plan to change it then, as much as I hate saying it, get an ipad. The apps you've bought already can be used on the ipad as long as you use the same ID which will save you money. You can also sync between them.

In an ideal world, dump the iphone and get Android phone & tablet. I did 3 years ago and I'll admit it felt like quite a leap at the time but I don't regret it at all.

iPad. Secure and apple provides updates, always works and iOS is far superior.
