We were indeed not very good.

The referee had a bad game and gave them everything and I thought Doncaster were a very cynical side, hitting the deck and buying free kicks all over the pitch. We need to be more streetwise.

That doesn't detract from the fact that we were poor and they were simply better than us though. They fought harder, won every second ball and passed it around whereas we seemed to resort to our nervous pass it sideways, backwards and then hoof it routine.

Cole Stocktons goal was well taken, a swivel and half volley but that was about the only positive thing today.

You picked a good game to miss!

We weren't THAT bad, they were just fantastic.

I said as soon as Kenyon got his yellow early in the game we would get a sending off.

They were better, faster, more skilled in the art of falling ,
And us,
we were crap couldn't find our men,
Wakefield was again awful why Jim thinks he is better than Paz who he released I'll never know,
Fleming should have been on instead of kenyon
And yet again the ref was appalling
And as for coppinger still class as he was first time I saw him all those years ago
Deffo needs changes but we carnt so get stuck in and sort it jimbo

We were shocking back to last season I'm afraid, just hope Jim can turn it around however his track record in that department isn't exactly great.

Midfield was missing, nobody seemed "up" for it.... They were superb very slick team. Good support from them.

Let's wait until the result of the Cambridge game. If we lose that, the only team yet to win a game this season, I will start to worry!

Kenyon got an early booking and then received a good talking to by the ref.

He didn't dare any risky tackles after that and Jim should have replaced him with Fleming.

He should have introduced the new striker straight after half time , as it was the game was over at 1-4 when he eventually made the change.

Lets hope Winnard is fit as defence is bad enough without losing Whitmore.

It was 7-0 last season so there will have to be a big improvement !

Pretty dire today and has knocked me back a little bit after being encouraged by the football played against Bournemouth and to some extent Orient. (I suppose players always raise their game against Premier League teams though).

Doncaster were quality and completely played us off the park. That should not detract from how poor we were though. If they are in the same league as us then the minimum should be to be at least competitive.

Home end was sparse and no atmosphere (even at kick-off) and I just get the feeling that there is no energy left at the club and we are just pottering a long.

Also Jimbo's seat must be really warm and I hope he has a good minutes plan on his phone contract  I do find that a bit of a joke from the manager.

Anyway, never too high and never too low. Onto the next one, lets see a positive reaction boys and reverse the trend

Doncaster absolutely tonked us. Lucky to get away with only 5.

I was shocked by just how poorly we started both halves. Tactically we were awful. Rose and Kenyon couldn't link up play and really needed Wildig and/or Fleming to connect us up. Putting Barky to right back was game over. He wouldn't push forward and positioning at the back was terrible. Just shouldn't play there. Jennings debut was definitely one to forget.

Worst of all though, and agree with Supermarket Shrimp, absolutely no home atmosphere and some very lackluster players on the pitch. Someone has to communicate, lift players and make a difference. Bar Kev, who at 38, worked really hard, there was no one who you could say really put a shift in.

I don't understand why Wakefield gets criticism as there were virtually no threats down his side again and he won all his headers. From what I saw he had no one to pass to at all in the first half so had to go long. It all comes down to never winning the 2nd ball all day which results in us being over run and then throwing in individual mistakes every game

Doncaster played well and murdered us. The usual faults of previous seasons emerged with us having no Plan B and again a strange team selection. How the side is stronger with Kenyon playing instead of Fleming defeats me. Also the good managers patrol their technical area and bark out instructions. Our manager stayed rooted in his seat and seemed to be on his mobile most of the time. With the big investment he has made, the new owner cannot tolerate failure. Big changes are required sooner rather than later.

Speaking of whom, has the deal been finalised yet? I was expecting a bit of an announcement and introduction to the fans today, but... well, zip!

Atmosphere was dead and non existent today.

Why??

I watched game from Berlin Wall and heard no singing whatsoever with the exception of one chap who clearly made the effort but nobody else joined in.

An awful afternoon all round.

One chap on Berlin Wall left the ground after their second went in....!! Strange.....

Stockton deserved mom award, tried winning every ball and scored a good goal. When you have a striker winning balls its should be a given that you have someone who should be on hand to pick up the lay off,but do we, NO we have a player miles away.

Hardly surprising when none of the players nor Jim looked up for it. Very poor of Jim to sit on his backside most of the game looking disinterested. No wonder the players weren't bothered and that rubs off on the spectators too. Right from kick off, no one was bothered, fans, players nor management. Disgraceful all round really.

Went straight down the tunnel at full time as well, at least the players acknowledged the fans. Even when we have won games recently Jim hasn't gone anywhere near the Omega stand.

Donny cruised in to a 2-0 lead but never got out of second gear and still looked 5 yards faster than we did in the first half. Stockton's classy goal was a shock, undeserved and woke Donny up for the second half. They beat us up for the entire second half and did a right good number on the terrible Ref too.

We slipped in to the old shitty habits and looked terrible throughout. Barky's face when Moly told him he was going to Right Back was a picture. It was a shocking tactical move and God only knows what Jim was thinking. Why leave the big Striker from Burnley on the bench until the 80th minute? Why bring Moly on when we all know he hasn't got the ability to change a game? Why sit on your arse writing notes and making phone calls whilst your players are getting their arses handed to them on the pitch?

Yes Donny were good but we were horrendous.

Jim has fallen out with the fan's after the booing and singing at Grimsby....... Needs to get over it.

The game, Donny played the better and deserved the win, one of the best teams I've seen in a couple of season's so much so about to see what they are to win the league.......9/2

When JB is on the phone its to KM who watches a lot of the game from upstairs as its a better view.

Very sparse in home end due to local leagues starting today?

Onto next week and a score to settle......
