Looks quite classy - we need something decent there to give a good impression to visitors coming into the town.

Let's hope they crack on with it now!

They hope to have people occupying it by end of 2017 early 2018.

Agree entirely.

Certainly better than the impression visitors get when entering town on the approach to the Travelodge....

ie, that place with all the second hand junk strewn out all over the pavement....

Not a million miles away from the last planning application by Mccarthy & Syone (who seem to have acquired the old working mens club on the A6 in Carnforth - maybe they'll knock that down too & then b@gger off!)

I paid £1 for lifetime membership back in the late 80's.

Wonder if I can claim it back from Red Courts receivers...??!!!!

I thought members shareholdings and the caravan owners had been paid out/compensated?

Wow, that was quick. It was only a hole in the ground at 9 last night.

Still doesn't mean it's going to get built.

They are taking over any old land and they seem to be setting up business.

Any idea why they didn't go ahead with Broadway, I would have thought it would be an easier build with it been a new build compared to Greaves Park where they are having to keep some of the old building and work round it.

Few companies will start a build like that without enough contractual commitment from buyers to cover their costs.

Don't be so downbeat. Of course it'll get built.

Just like the retail park on the Frontierland site, the Canal Corridor development in Lancaster and Luneside East.

Its now being developed by M H Stainton and they did the Elms Hotel so they have a decent track record in respect of demolished hotel sites.
