Atmosphere

Aside from the rallying against Portsmouth..spells against Blackpool.. Is it just me or is the atmosphere unnervingly stale @ the globe? Brought some new people yesterday and they were convinced it was a friendly (-_-).

Aside from the odd drum and a solo rendition from the gent in the corner... What's happened? I know exciting football gets a crowd going but there's no atmosphere at all to encourage the team .. Not pointing the finger as I stand in the Omega too so the question is what can we do? We are scoring goals and in the top ten but there should be a positive atmosphere even if we were on -30 points and hadn't scored yet...there should still be something..

What can be done?

From our view on The Wall, The Omega looks really empty and fans are stood in little clusters. Maybe if the fans behind the net got a bit closer together it might help? Not that us fans on The Wall can talk. The most excited we get is when someone whips out some mint imperials!

Those who created the atmosphere are no longer here. Simply as that really. Half of them were banned, whatever you thought of them, and the others have stopped coming of their own accord. I stand in the middle of the Omega stand and a few years ago you would struggle for space around there but not now.

Maybe it's an issue that can be brought up with the next club meeting.
Believe me or not Liverpool are having the same problem ( see red and white kop forum)

We need to get Mackerel Johnson for our half time entertainment! He was at Derby yesterday and ate their goal keeping coach!

Damn i missed the mints again!! :( On the other hand 2 friends bought hot dogs yesterday, well they were more like pups! And there was a pea shortage with the pies!! Some of the helpers weren't happy. Moreso when they found out pie & peas are 30pea more expensive than behind the Omega stand!!! Something for the new owner to look into?

Hot dog's were £1 each just as second half kicked of behind the Omega.

What a relief we were away tonight.

Crowds of 1,100 at both Barnet and Accrington.

The Accrington gate was made up of 136 Mansfield fans and only 998 Accrington fans !
