Well done Tyson! an awesome, inspirational sporting achievement and performance away from home. Look forward to seeing the rematch on home ground - maybe at the Globe Arena :D ?. Just to recover from contemplating suicide and losing 10 stone in weight shows the determination and commitment of the sporting giant - amazing.

A great ambassador and credit for his home town Morecambe from a sporting POV. Time the town gave him some well deserved recognition - an award for outstanding sporting achievement. How many other UK towns and cities in the UK can boast a former world and possibly future world heavyweight champion boxer.

Will be interesting to see if he features on the BBCs Sports Personality of the year - an outstanding individual British sporting achievement of the year after all - and an inspiration for victims who suffer with their mental health.

An appropriately placed mural might be quite an attraction too.

Creative Tyson a sporting entertainer!

Perhaps may get more than 1500 in the the ground, more than MFC home games and raise some much needed finance to support "Jimbos barmy army" and pay the staff and players - worth a try :)

Maybe he could do this one -

Great to see Tyson enjoying the moment though and certainly good reason to celebrate a tremendous sporting achievement. Tyson reminds me of the great sporting boxing legend Mohammad Ali.

Well done Tyson a merry & happy xmas to you and your family. Look forward to seeing what you produce in 2019 in the ring - keep on with the jogging on Morecambe's inspiring promenade.

Good reason to celebrate and party though -

Typical of BBC website with their incorrect information-----114/112 for Tyson==115/111 for Wilder===113/113 3rd judge. According to that Wilder the winner! the correct points score was given for Tyson on the Audio coverage. 114/110.

Well done indeed to the other Morecambe 'big fella' despite the media saying he's from Manchester and now Preston.

Passed Baz in Sainsbury's yesterday pm, didn't realise what a huge person he is.... :o :)

Some people knock Tyson Fury but he's the sort of person who'd buy Morecambe FC, seriously!

You certainly cannot knock Tyson's outstanding sporting achievements in the ring. He loves Morecambe and is passionate about his home town.

So why does his home town council recognise all these but not the Gypsy giant?

Good shout, i suspect because of his chequered past, and outbursts, but people do live and learn.

But be still a nice touch if he got some recognition off the local Council, especially if he does help out with funding homeless people and also helping mental awareness.

Be interesting to see if he also gets any recognition from the young Crown Corporation Royals for his positive contribution for helping and supporting mental awareness

Its absolutely unbelievable Andy that a town who has a former heavyweight world champion boxer and possibly again does not even recognise his amazing sporting achievements. The fight and comeback was remarkable - to get off the canvass after two awesome KOs. A sporting spectacle in the same league as Ali.

Well done again Tyson but put your health and family first - get professionally medically checked out and if alls well, recover, train hard in 2019 so you can dodge those KO punches, get your belt back and another big payout.

Alot more than a dozen PAL based on this official definition of homelessness -

Homelessness means not having a home. Even if you have a roof over your head you can still be homeless. This is because you may not have any rights to stay where you live or your home might be unsuitable for you.

You may be entitled to help as a homeless person if you are:

Temporarily staying with friends or family
Staying in a hostel or bed and breakfast
Living in very overcrowded conditions
At risk of violence or abuse in your home
Living in poor conditions that affect your health
Living somewhere that you have no legal right to stay in (eg a squat)

He does indeed live in Hest Bank with his lovely family on Coastal Road with glorious inspiring views of outstanding natural beauty - Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Hills in the background.

As regards HoAs which went into administration and one of its Directors is an MBI registered political party elected representative on the Town council hes certainly not a Director -

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/02018358/officers

Interesting connection to MFC Ltd though as S L Mainwearing was a Director at Morecamve Bay Wines where there are/were two former Directors of MFC Ltd - David Derham and Peter Cross.

John McEnroe was born in West Germany (his dad was in the services) and everyone knows he is American and regards himself as a New Yorker.

Andrew Strauss was born in South Africa but is regarded as a Middlesex man who played for England.

It is where you choose to live that is the place you are from. Tyson Fury is from Morecambe and it is something to be pleased about and the Council should reflect this achievement in some way.
