Did you get off the bench at Under 12s then?

Sounds like the chairman might be getting his hands in his pcoket to bulk-book the travel lodge

The cat needs to pee in all 4 corners, to rid it of the curse.

We need a hotel/lodge on that bit of wasteland, that's what we need !!

I saw one of our players walking down the prom by The Carleton yesterday morning (Jennings I think?? I only saw him at last minute so could be wrong) at about 07.30am

One of our fans/sponsors put Terry McFlynn up in his hotel on the prom. Not sure if its big enough for a football squad !

Maybe the new road off the M6 will help in the players getting to the Globe on a matchday?

It's a good job they don't then have another 40 odd miles to drive to Barrow when they pass the Morecambe turn off, like Shaun Beeley now has to do.

This is a great idea, a bit of thinking outside the box is needed, what about a dormitory in the globe arena W&l suite, 2 dozen single beds, stored in a container, 4 fans to do the donkey work in return for free matchday tickets in hospitality, the players would definately feel at home!

Why not get the lads to camp out in the Wright and Lord Suite? Waking up to draw the curtains and see the Globe pitch might just get them to feel like they are at home? ;)

I think Jim ought to go round serving the lads breakfast in bed. Seeing his beaming face first thing in the morning should get them in the right frame of mind. Pernaps he could sing Bring me Sunshine at the same time :D

Seriously though the hotel idea has got some merit.

I think the players should all run out onto the pitch doing the actions to Bring me Sunshine! Would give us some entertainment at least :D

Does anyone know if it is tomorrow's game where the players are staying in a local hotel to help to improve the home form?
I guess they will avoid the hotel where Exeter are staying!!

Would be good to have a Plan B on the pitch for when hoof ball is inevitably failing!

Think it will be kept quiet if and where the team are stopping to avoid CC setting up camp outside ;) .

Maybe as an alternative to staying over which is a good idea but could be costly, the club should think about hiring a luxury coach from the Merseyside area to bus the lads in on match days which would save them the stress of having to spend needless time behind a driving wheel with all the stress that that can bring.

A pick up point around Haydock for the Manchester lads would be ideal.

If they met at say 9.15 they would be at the ground by mid day it time to have a pre match meal together at The Globe and some time to relax before the usual pre match warm up.

Anything that would help our home form is worth considering....after all the vast majority of Premiership and Championship clubs get together on the morning of home games for a pre match meal and in some cases spend the Friday night in a local Hotel but would the cost be a factor in our case... :?: :?:

If my ageing memory serves me well I seem to recall that when the club went full time all those years ago that the team did meet up for a pre match meal in the morning when playing a Christie Park.

You mean our players don't get together and get lunch on matchday? Are you sure, I would have thought every club would do this.

Don't know for sure, but sounds not. A year or two back when Jimbo mentioned the travel delays previously, he said a couple of players had actually been so late that they missed the start of the warm-up. Even if they'd been delayed by a couple of hours, if they'd been aiming to arrive before lunch, they'd have been here for the start of the warm up.

They have started to have an after match meal in the W&L, but with the recent run of home games the tables have been very sparce!
