Loud and clear in Peru, listening to the first half ahead of my flight.

Needn't have bothered 1-0!

I flippantly just said to a colleague

"I wonder if Morecambe have conceded yet?"

And we had. Sigh

Barkhuizen with a "poor, poor penalty" "that was just a bad penalty"

This could be a very long day.

Penalty to Colchester. They know how to score though :(

Well done lads, with the home form being what it is, it's important we continue to keep picking up the points on the road. Would definitely have taken 2-2 before kick off.

Good result. Shame we have to give away penalties, poor goals and miss penalties our self. How many travelled?

Great day... the Wetherspoons Play House 'theatre' is awesome. Convinced 2 Canadian lads to come with us and they loved it, we now have a Manitoba Shrimp!
A game of real ups and downs and couldn't be passed as never too high never too low, could have lost by a few or won by a few with the fine lines being penalties!
Thanks to the Colchester fans who welcomed us on to their shuttle bus back to town - brilliant!
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Very poor start from us - half asleep. Grew into the game and dominated for the rest of the half. Second half was same old story: never really got going and lucky to come away with a draw. Ref has to take some of the blame as he had a shocker as did the linesman on our side. Jimbo having to remove Flemo and Ellison for their own good.

However we kept plugging away and their keeper made a right mess of the equaliser giving us a bit of luck much missing from our home matches. They should have won it at the death missing a complete sitter but somehow it bounced wide. Ditto: wouldn't have happened at home! So 2-2 at a ground with less atmosphere than our own and my head didn't hit the pillow 'till gone one in the morning due to traffic probs.

All in all a decent point and would like to see us battle like this at home when it's not going our way (which is often!).
