Would certainly be good to have Paz around the place again.

Continuity and affility to a club can be a wonderful thing.

I have a feeling that our new owners will have something better than Turners Field in mind although not likely to be like Carrington.

That is exactly what excites me about this story! Good stuff :D

Incidentally, the title says "Football Coach" but the story actually says; "Morecambe Football Club is seeking to appoint a number of full and part time football coaches". This is a bigger investment than simply one coach.

Great news that we are investing in this area, and indeed aiming for a better youth academy structure.

Just hope it doesn't take money away from the present team. Exeter have found that their youth set up occasionally brings good youngsters through but some of them get snatched away before they have a chance to make any impact on the first team.Like us they have no money to buy players or compete with other teams players wages.Look at their present position!

Are we sure they didn't just miss the word "driver" out? :D

Exactly this.

We are small fry for youngsters in the North West, and any decent youngster will be snatched away from us long before we can benefit from them.

What we do need to be doing is what we seem to be starting to do, and taking on youngsters from the academies of Premier League and Championship clubs who are coming to the end of their time there, getting a chance to look at them on loan and then hopefully signing them when they are released. Premier League clubs will want to send their best youngsters on loan to higher level clubs in the Championship or abroad, but we should be positioning ourselves to scoop up the likes of Dunn who clearly is not in the mind of Liverpool for a first team slot but may be capable of doing a job in League 1 or 2.
