Players Wages

I see on the Facebook page there is a suggestion that the players wages haven't been paid this month and that Diego and co don't actually have any money to invest in the club.

Does anyone have any concrete information regarding this?

I got told about this through the week but thought it'd be best not to say nothing on here, but now the cats out the bag ye it's true the players and staff haven't been paid and it was due the end of last month !

[Keith's edit: May be too much to say that at the moment]

Why wouldn't he have money to pay players 2 months after taking over then ? Apparently journalists from national newspapers have got wind of it now and the club will be getting abit of attention in the coming days !

If true then it's a very sad day in the history of our great club.

If ever there was a need for a Club Statement telling fans what the situation is then now is the time.....

If true then maybe people will start getting off the player's and Jim's backs.

I wouldn't go to work for half my wages, never mind none of it.

The club won't be in a hurry to make any comment on this as it's nothing to shout about. But the longer it drags on the more messier it'll get and even tho the players aren't playing great at the minute, they'll definitely down tools if this doesn't get sorted !

It's a lukewarm beef stew

Gary Neville must be taking 99% of takings as his fee

Please err on the side of caution when making comments. Remember you PERSONALLY can be sued if a comment is deemed to be libel, or even weaker than that. Unless you have deep pockets AND evidence, you may be on thin ice. Look at Blackpool at the moment, fans have been sued for comments made on their message board. Individual legal fees have been more than £50,000 so make sure you've got that in the bank 'just in case'!

It was advertised as a two course meal and we have a bowl of beef stew and a dumpling and a cheese board for afters. I was thinking it would be a proper two course meal up to the usual high standards you normally get at the Globe.

I would think stew is the cheapest meal u can make and prob easiest when catering for 200 people.

We are a business, we need to make money, but before anyone starts... not like a supermarket, a restaurant, a taxi firm... We are Morecambe Football Club. We close down, another one won't pop up and take our trade (well...) What on Earth is going on? If people where slightly more honest within the Club, the rumours would stop and us fans would be trying everything and I mean EVERYTHING to try and save things. But no, total shut out. I believe we (down to manners and respect) deserve a bit more information. But once again, nothing, just rumours. Very good rumours.
Where has it all gone so very wrong? Was everything we always hoped for game in, game out, through cold winter evenings stood shivering, hoping, totally pointless!.. as in our promotion!? Was it in the long run the kiss of death?

Really sad what is happening to our club which is dying before our very own eyes.
Please could FCOM try and arrange a fans forum.
It's the least our fans deserve

Hodgy, a Fans Forum is reported to be happening directly after the forthcoming AGM.

Date etc not confirmed yet.

Sooner the better though. The AGM could be fun.....,

Lets hope some of the fans who were stating on another thread that they had given up on the club will come back on Sunday and put some much needed cash in the coffers.

Like mentioned below I'd it's that bad tell us and we can start doing something fundraising etc.

IF I was a local business man and had a.spare 50k I would put it in but would.want a big say in what was going on and the future of the club.
