Triumph in the face of adversity

We have had a turbulent ride over the last week or two, the owners , both outgoing and incoming, have done little, if anything to steady the waters regarding MFC staff or supporters confidence, but in the face of this, the matchday staff have performed in a magnificent manner, the players have provided us with great results, and most importantly JIM BENTLEY has shown us what he is all about, his back has been against the wall, and he has stood his ground, rallied his beleaguered troops and triumphed in a spectacular fashion in two cups, thankyou JIM and all your staff.

I have on occasions been one of the manager's biggest critics but I have to say during this nonsense of the last few weeks he has shown himself to be a big man in every sense. His commitment to the club cannot be questioned. Well done, Jim.

It's such a shame that the ownership/finance fiasco has over-shadowed two brilliant performances from the lads. They should be immensely proud of themselves to overcome the recent Globe home form curse and the off-the-pitch incompetence of the Board/owners. "Lions led by donkeys" springs to mind!

I thought the football against Coventry was some of the best I've seen from the lads for a while which is a credit to them as professionals given their wage situation. There were quite a few changes last night to the starting line up but again the lads played really well against a strong Bradford side. For me Michael Rose is quality and really makes a difference to our play when he is on the pitch. Well done boys.

May only have been just over 800 at the game (a vast improvement on some attendances from games elsewhere bearing in mind our average home gates to date) but there appeared to be quite a few new faces in attendance....over and above the W&L match night diners.

Let's hope that they enjoyed their experience and return....

The team has a nice balance about it in the last 2 games and the defence looks more solid even though personnel were changed.

I think Baz would have saved the free-kick but still a great win against a top League 1 side.

Obviously, I didn't attend last night - but just so you guys know, you played most of our youth team.

Taking nothing away from your victory, of course.

4 youth teamers, reserve goalie, 4th choice CB etc.
