I have utmost respect for Derek and Jim, but Derek ,if you are reading this , you let Jim ''ramble'' and repeat himself in interviews for 6 minutes or so without asking him anything we'd like answers to, Jim Bentleys words, although diplomatic , reveal the horrific situation clearly in the opening seconds, ''we are lacking quality all over the park'', ''hopefully things will improve in 5 weeks'' , well , it is very unlikely that we will be bringing in quality all over the park in 5 weeks, so by that assumption, then relegation from the football league is UNAVOIDABLE, Jim Bentley is a man of honour , doing what he can, but the odds are heavily stacked against him, he wil, not walk, but at tbe end of the season he will leave, and we'll be relegated.

Quinny is an employee of MFC though? He isn't going to ask the probing questions fans would like.

Jim sounds worn out. Love the guy but something needs to change to get out this miserable situation.

No he isn't, he works for the radio (Lancashire) and, I believe, the NHS.

I don't know how many more Bentley post game interviews I can handle!

It's the same after every game, it's like a pre written script! Change the tune jim

Remember that, as an employee of the club, he could possibly be dismissed for airing his real thoughts.

How can he change the tune and be positive when he's working with the budget he's working with, and the standard of players he's working with due to said budget, and our current run of results etc etc??

To me Jim sounds like a broken man right now and it's heartbreaking to hear.

We know what these players were capable of at the start of the season and in flashes since, so what's changed? If it's motivation they're lacking and Jim has run out of it too, then we're really in the do-dos until we can get a more motivational manager in!

I just don't listen to him anymore because he is like a broken record. With a combination of the club being run as it is and our current management carrying on with the same things we are doomed.

He does sound like a broken man , if that's how he's communicating with the players , then no wonder we keep getting beat!

I understand it's a huge ask and a hard job , but he's the manager and he is the one in the firing line , he's going to get negative comments towards him , his tactics don't help the situation, he's just not getting the best out of the players , I think the players we have, we are more than capable of getting mid table , but sadly not with Jim in charge!

Sadly he may have just run out of ideas which many managers do. Personally anywhere else he would have walked but because of the financial mess we are in this won't happen. It is very frustrating & sad that the current situation is killing the club off on & off the pitch. Just hope black Friday is a positive day for the players being paid.

It won't happen because Jim loves the club and is doing his damnedest to turn things around for us.

He's hurting like the rest of us are.

No disputing the the manager loves OUR club and that he's hurting just like us, but when he mentions that for the opposition it's 'too easy to get down the sides' and 'sitting off teams' then this is a problem that we've seen time after time not only this season put past seasons as well. We've tried various combinations in defence with different players (some still with us and others who have gone) but the problem still remains.

Is it not therefore logical to suggest that it's down to tactics and not down to individuals...... :?: :?: :?:

Last night we played pretty well and came away again with nothing.
It was a nice game played on a lovely surface and Crewe were slick passing.
Edwards was magnificent again, as he has been most games. Alongside him were Wakefield and Jennings, out wide raiding the flanks were AJ and Conlan. Essentially four full backs playing through injuries and suspensions.
Rose did his stuff, Murphy, while looking still shy of the player he can be, showed glimpses of his old self.
Essentially Crewe had four chances, we had five, they scored two, we got one.
Rhys Turner deserved his start and justified it with superb finish, however we were undone down the left wing once again, both crosses from there for the goals.
Six or seven of our lads looked desperate at the final whistle, as all of them had put a shift in, competed and should have at least got a point. It showed.
The fans were magnificent, and supported all the way through, and at the end stayed to applaud the team as they knew they had done their best and it wasn't enough.

That is the truth of the matter, lack of investment both on and off the pitch, for a few years, has brought us to where we are.
Shuffle the meager pack, send them out to do a job and despite really trying to give it ago, it wasn't enough.

Answers?
Better wages attract better players, or when you attract players who were broken or dispirited and help them rebuild their career, keep hold of them.
Simple.

Easier said than done however.

The spirit from the team and fans was there last night, in this current situation, that's what we have to cling to. Is it enough? Time will tell.

But we need investment from somewhere to give u all hope.

One last thing, a lot of fans use Accy as a stick to beat Jim with, Coley does wonders on no money etc etc, their budget is now way above ours, just look at the squad they have, they are also currently on 20 points!!

Up the Shrimps.

The difference is John Coleman has been doing well at Accy for years before they got new investment, even on the budget he once had he has done miracles keeping Accy in the football league. Not blaming everything on Jim but recently it has been a combination of the club on & off the pitch, which hasn't help matters filling our terraces.

What of course isn't happening to encourage fans to have hope is the total lack of anything coming out of the Boardroom and in particular our financial backers based in Qatar.

Many years ago i had experience of working alongside a Saudi company through my employers connections with BAE at Warton. The one thing that was really annoying was the total lack of communication at all levels of the Saudi company. Feedback was non existent. You never knew what they were thinking.

It could well be that it's a common fault with Arabic nations..... :?: :?: :?:

The fans have deserted the terraces due to past management ignoring the fans - which has resulted in our dwindling numbers.

Placing too (if not all to some extent) eggs in the "corporate" basket really has been, and is, our downfall.

Repeated points raised by fans have gone unactioned, unreplied to, and ignored. Hence why people have said "f*** it, if they're not bothered about me who pays my money, why should I be?" and, they've gone. Never to return a lot of them.

Wildboar Steak anyone ??

It is also the crap football as well with losing our last 7 matches why fans refuse to pay the entrance fee. I agree on the other points that the family club has gone right out of the window, which is sad really.

You've just lumped together a whole race of people as having a negative personality trait!

Just because you had a negative experience with one Arab person doesn't mean that all Arab people are like that! You can judge them on their individual merits you know?
