I am told a return in January is very much ''on the cards'', and if Diego hasn't actually reappeared and started doing anything, Craig and other loan players are being looked at.

Stanners is now coaching Notts County under 16's
Apparently he did some coaching when at Eastleigh which was highly praised.
Good luck to Stanners in his future career but I don't see him returning at 33 years old , although he does retain property in the area.

still experienced got a fair bit to offer, I suspect he won't be asking for the same money, and if he could do what Drummond did for us in his Autumn years , then why not, certainly worth a squad number competing for a starting place.

Nobody can be certain what will happen in January but assuming the worst and some of our loanees return to their parent clubs we may need the likes of Staners as part of the sqaud. Far from ideal but we know what to expect from him AND more importantly he may be the only player prepared to come until the end of the season. The recent bad press regarding non payment of wages albeit for only a few weeks hasn't done OUR club any favours. Coupled with the apparent no show of Lamos ( I'm still very dubious of the take over and it wouldn't surprise me if a re-sell is on the cards
) then we may be grateful of his services even if only till the end of the season.

Given that we are (were) looking to recruit more coaching staff...

He even has his picture collecting a MoM award hanging in Atkinsons chippy on Albert road, even if it does say it's Stewart Drummond...........
Maybe Craig was collecting Stewart's award, hadn't thought of that before.

Stanners was in Atkinson's Chippy a few months back and he tweeted that his MOTM photo was still on the Chip Shop wall.

If Craig does return, perhaps we could welcome him back with this:

The spirit of JB has spoken again tonight, he says he is watching things unfold with interest, he says, there will be a change of ownership before next season, the curse stands, but he likes the next chairman as he is a ''sandgrown'' fan, dunno what thats supposed to mean
