I don't think anyone can have a go at jim or the players after the game,three players off injured one sent off,for reacting to a stamp on his head and a crap ref,don't think anyone was booing jim or the lads.

I actually said to Mrs A on leaving that it was good not to hear the players being booed off. I think 98%'s an underestimate. I'd be surprised if anyone was booing the players.

Let's not forget the part the 4th official played in the sending off of Jim to the stands. it was he who drew the attention of the referee to Jim's reaction to Kenyon's sending off. Jim for once lost it and threw his coat onto the floor and had a verbal onslaught with their manager resulting in his dismissal.

As for Kenyon's dismissal...you simply can't react like he did and expect not to be reprimanded, irrespective of what caused his reaction.

Maybe somebody could explain to me the ruling with regard to the technical areas and in particular managers and their assistants constantly stepping out of the area

Yesterday the 4th official ignored the actions of opposition managers constant stepping out of the area (our lot did the same but not to the same extent) without any word of warning being issued by the 4th official. However the same 4th official was very quick to report me to a steward who asked me to refrain from being over verbal in my disdain at his lack of action. It appears to me that the 4th officials have very little powers to act about issues such as the technical areas as this is a theme that we witness in more and more games.

Like others on this forum I have to agree that the referee was a joke (or a 100% dick head as I indicated to the 4th official) and for me was more suited to refereeing a Sunday league game on Ryelans Park such was his lack of control almost from the 1st minute.

Unfortunatly little if any action is ever taken by the powers that be against their fellow clowns in black....

Jim's post match Player innterview is another example of how much he cares for OUR club. Passionate as always but you can tell my looking into his eyes and the tone of his voice that it's hurting like never before.

For what it's worth he doesn't need fans like me getting on his back....

I was in the home end and the booing was for the ref. Not the players. A shocking display from the officials and that ref shouldn't be in charge of games at this level judged on that performance. The fans in the Omega were right behind the lads until the bitter end. Only a few 'supporters' left before the end.

There were precious few passengers on that pitch on Saturday. One of the most spirited and committed performances this season, but bad luck and shocking officiating took it from us. For me, Mullin was a star for his commitment, putting heart, soul and everything else into it once Kenyon went off, until he injured himself with his efforts. Fleming was inspirational in midfield; one of the best performances I've seen him give. Rose was also calm and controlled most of the time, and I really like him as a player. Defence looked stronger than it has for a while, for most of the time. Everyone (bar a couple of notable exceptions mentioned by others elsewhere) put in a shift, and if we can play with that passion week in, week out, and avoid a points deduction for insolvency, we really shouldn't need to worry about relegation. IF anyone did boo the players at the end of the match, and I'm not at all convinced they did, they need their heads read. The only booing as far as I could tell was at the atrocious officials, who shouldn't be reffing at ANY level, never mind league, as in non-league that sort of decision-making's going to get them lynched, so they'll probably just get promoted instead!

Now is not a time to criticise management or players. They are working hard and showing spirit. Saturday was spoilt by an abysmal referee who shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch. We are all in this crisis together and I just wonder if we fans can do anything to help at this critical time?

The players got a standing ovation, rightly, from just about everyone in the main stand, people shouting support to them individually as they went down the tunnel.

Boos definitely aimed at the officials. Great mention for Flemmo, Phil, couldn't agree more.

On Saturday I watched the Morecambe team I love to see, full of commitment, passion, guts and determination. They battled against the odds, and the fans couldn't have asked for more.
We are just not getting any luck at the moment with injuries,and shocking referees and assistants.

I really hope the players and management realise that the booing wasn't aimed at them at all. It was 100% definitely aimed at the officials. Like others have said, few of our fans left early. We gave the lads our full support throughout and they need to be told that if they've any thoughts at all that any of the booing was aimed at them. I hope the message gets through to Jim and he passes it on.
