As you can see I have not posted on here before, but I feel I should respond to this thread.

This is Nigel Adams (Vice Chairman and Director). Communication with fans has always been hugely important to me. For better or worse, Mike Hinchcliffe and I set up the Board/fans communication committee which meets occasionally. In these meetings, I hope I have been totally open and honest

I am personally very pleased that F-CoM are reaching out towards the Board, and assisting in the communicatiion with fans, as well as asking questions. In return, I will do whatever I can to answer your questions and respond to this approach.

I do not know who has got your e-mail Paul, I have not seen it. I do not think answering the questions with one liners on here is the best way forward, but will happily meet with your group any time I can to discuss any matters. I really do care about the relationship between the club and its fans and respect the fact that fans have a right to know what is going on - unless occasionally prevented by confidentiality.

Please feel free to get in touch with me and we can talk.

Here goes - submit !

Hi Nigel as you can probably see from on here and Facebook, us the fans are very concerned about how all this is unfolding and yet we still don't get any news..
I assume that Companies House hasn't made an error, so take it you are no longer in the Boardroom.
I know you have said that there is not a lot of information coming out of the 'Club', but if you are no longer a Director or Vice Chairman then we do all wonder why after all your efforts, stability and basically injected cash via various means into it.
At the end of the day you are also a fan and we just want to know why?

Notes:
1. The Club was sold "virtually debt free", until within a short space of time the wages weren't paid till our best player was 'sold'

2. The General Manager left the building on 'gardening leave'

3. The new owner(s)/major shareholders havn't made any statement to quell the rumours.

4. The Manager obviously working in an intolerable and stressful position, trying to hold things together on the field, while all this is going on and saying this is the biggest month in Morecambe FC history

To mention just a few

Thanks

Mark

I think we should respect Nigels privacy at this time, everybody knows he's a fan and a ''good guy'', I am sure he will let the fans know whatever he can, when it's practicable to do so.

Nigel statement says it all on the OWS

Not enough financial information from the new owners, make his position untenable, furthermore he won't be renewing his sponsorship next season.

Sad, very sad :( :(

So we're a shirt sponsor down - and a terrace sponsor down.

Yet more lost revenue.

Incidentally, how long did The Bay sign up for advertising on the away end? Their signage has been up there since day 1 of The Globe. I take it they are still paying for it ???

From experience how the signage used to work was even though you had cancelled/stopped paying, the signs would stay up till someone else took over, rather than leave it 'blank'

I suspect it was some kind of deal against radio adverts. But I was thinking the other day that I'd not heard any MFC adverts on the radio for a few weeks now, so perhaps that deal's gone sour too?

Centrica being an example.

Company I work for had an advertising board on Holker Street, Barrow, for years when we had a branch in Barrow and they never asked us to pay for it since the day it was put up....!

The Bay originally wanted to sponsor the suite in the main stand and use it for conferences etc. Imagine the amount of free advertising that would have got for the club?

I wonder if Shanghai Clever paid for those 4 boards they had at The Globe :?:

As a generalisation:

"Suspension is a neutral act, intended to safeguard all parties while allowing a fair investigation to take place".

Please do not make any comments about any current situation where 'fairness' is required. Earlier posts have been deleted.

Being fair, can you also clarify the use of "gardening leave" as used in an un-deleted post, cheers.

I don't think "gardening leave" is an official position within employment law, but I think it is fair to say that it's included in the clean up.

Well, the comment remains online and the government recognises the phrase.
