Nigel Adams Statement

Nothing positive here - particularly the part about not renewing sponsorship deals.

When we're relying on directors for sponsorship, if we have none left, we really are up shit creek.

Well, this could have been Nigels last act before turning off the lights and putting his keys through the letterbox, or the act of somebody at the club who is confident that we have seen the last of Diego, ''the secret millionaire'' Lemos!

Could this be Diego or whoever getting rid of the board members and bringing his own board in?

A Statement from Mr Nigel Adams.
I have chosen to resign my position as a Director from Morecambe Football Club Limited.

It is with great regret that I have taken that decision. Unfortunately, following the change of control in September 2016 I do not feel I have been given sufficient financial information from the majority shareholder to allow me to perform my duties as a Director and therefore it is appropriate for me to resign.

In the absence of communication from the new owner and access to financial management information my position as a Director has become untenable.

Until the change of control I had enjoyed my time as a Director immensely and I have given large amounts of my time and financial support to the football club.

I have a number sponsorship deals currently in place with the football club and these will remain in place but will not be renewed.

The team, staff and most of all the fans of Morecambe Football Club will always have a special place in my heart and I wish the club every success in the future.

Nigel Adams

Exactly. Would PMG ever let a departing director have a dig on the club's own website?

Diego is surely a goner now for MFC. Question is, does that mean PMG is back in charge?

So to a layman like me, with Diego AWOL and seemingly gone for good out of the country that surely means all deals are null and void and by default PMG is back in charge? Not the worst situation for me as I doubt he'd let the club go under but I'd imagine we'd be back up for sale and stuck in limbo for a good while again.

Diego's credibility is gone. Lets fight for the club we love. I am going to email the EFL asking them to look into the purchase of our club by Lemos. It would be helpful if other shrimp fans emailed the Football League at enquiries@EFL.com
