The Fans Club would like to publicly thank Nigel Adams for his efforts and input over the years as Director and Vice Chairman of Morecambe Football Club. As we stated at the recent meeting, we know that our Directors are fans first. We hope that Nigel will remain a fan of the Club.
We would also like to welcome the recent statement from our current Board acknowledging the current issues and calling for a united front from all fans. We are confident that the Board will do everything in its power to turn these current events around and we have been impressed by the unity.
The best way we can show our passion as fans at this moment in time is to turn up and get behind Jim and the team on January 2nd. This is the biggest game in our recent history and we would urge all fans, past and present to try and get down. Any past issues can be put aside and we should take the 'Spirit Of Christie' to the Globe Arena.
We have been in contact with Club Directors and we have been asked to pass on thanks for your support and for patience until all the facts can be presented. While Mr Lemos remains elusive, the Fans Club are confident that Abdulrahman Al-Hashemi has acted with good intent and faith and could be a friend to Morecambe Football Club in the future. To this end we would ask all fans to keep an open mind and to refrain from contacting him through social media.
Further news of the Supporters Trust progress will be forthcoming in the new year and we are looking forward to sharing this with you.
In the mean time, please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and spread the word that the Morecambe FC family need as many fans through the gates on Jan 2nd to show our unity in the face of adversity. Come On You Shrimps!
