As bit of new year fun , why don't we have a 2016 year end SV's shrimp of the year award, everyone put forward their choice of someone who can be considered to be worthy of this accolade, we can tot up the numbers and the person,be it a fan, a player, a cat, a director or whoever you like , can be decided by ....I dunno, 12 oclock tomorrow lunch time?
I will start the ball rolling, I vote per SV, ....Jim Bentley.

Quinny, for the great job he does covering our games home and away ! Us as fans can chose not to go if we like sometimes. That poor man can't

This is great! a bit of variety and sensible answers, I might ask Keith if we can do an ''Award'' of some description, to be presented to the winner after a match.

Paul Carter - AKA Outsider.
Unwavering support of the club; hasn't missed a first team fixture home or away since (I think) 23rd August 2011 (Millwall away Tuesday night Carling Cup); does anybody have an active run lasting as long?!? If they do I would find it hard to believe.... even Jim Bentley has been sick and unable to take to the sidelines during that time.
Current Chair of the supporters club - giving up his spare time to help organise fan lead activities that promote supporting the club and raise funds (cycled to York, which lead to hospitalisation
).... even making up the numbers in the Supporters 8-ball pool team

1. Everyone sees the world differently, no matter how similar their points of view may be
2. Everyone thinks their view is the right one
So my vote goes to Keith for being a mild mannered mod

so far we have a rank ''outsider'' in the lead, a baffling one for....well I will shut up on that, and a few dark horses, no players as yet?

I certainly wouldn't have voted this way a few months ago but......Jim Bentley. We can't begin to imagine the strain he has had to work under and most would have walked away from it.

What about Brian C for looking after the IT stuff including managing to polish a turd in the form of the digital score/advertising board all F.O.C and mostly in his spare time

Although Kendal_Shrimp would have been a worthy recipient I think my vote will have to go to jim Bentley.
How on earth he has managed to put out competitive teams with a budget that resembles Portsmouth's petty cash tin combined with an unbelievable boardroom situation , the man deserves a knighthood.

I have often been a critic of his tactics and negativity but in the present crisis he has led the players brilliantly and managed the off-field problems superbly. We supporters can only imagine what he has had to cope with. My vote goes to Jimbo.

Suppose when you think about it Jim lives and breathes MFC so he probably can be classed as a supporter as well as a boss
