I understand that Jim was a guest at todays game.
Too much to expect bridges to be built between Jim and Peter but would be a brilliant addition to the back room team if only on a consultancy basis.
Not likely to happen unfortunately....

He had a brief spell as a coach at Crewe 10 years ago prior to getting the Forest Green job, so more than likely to be a guest of theirs, if he isn't already working back with them.

Yes, when we haven't got a pot to piss in lets bring in a consultant who has never worked in the football league.

And once again people like to slag fellow fans for no apparent reason AND quote incorrect FACTS! Has Keith not stressed enough about scare mungaring/inaccuracies on other subjects?
Jim Harvey was sacked by Altrincham - correct
BUT
left Staylebridge by mutual consent
AND
his short term contract was not renewed at the end by Halifax, days after he took them to Wembley and WON!

I'll continue to post my thoughts irrespective of the thoughts of others who are perfectly entitled to their opinions.
I have no problems with that.

Fine Neil, but everybody knows that your ''thoughts'' are just attempts to undermine the management.

Thankfully Jimbo and Co sees it other wise.
And as for undermining the management,
your constant character assassination of PMcG is getting beyond a joke.

Any criticism against Jim Harvey isn't justified, just CC's silly logic in thinking we are in a position to bring in anyone as a consultant in our current situation.
To clarify, Jim and his wife Wendy were guests of the holder of one of the hospitality boxes (not a guest of Crewe) and also present in the box were a number of ex Directors /officials of MFC and their wives.
He came up to see those people who for nearly 12 years had been a big part of each others lives.
I am sure that Jim will be hoping for a job in football (and lets hope he gets one), but he did not come up yesterday with the intention of trying to weedle himself into a coaching /management role at MFC.

I think you will find it's PMG that wants to get himself away from MFC Neil , not me, thats why he sold it!

As for ''character asassination?'
I have merely repeated messages conveyed to me from the heavens, by a spirit from 1920's Morecambe.

Was chatting to a Tranmere fan on Twitter last night who tells me Jim is now a Driving Instructor on the Wirral.

Maybe a place on the "Legends' Wall" ? He did achieve promotion out of the NPL into the Conference as well as 2 appearances in the FA Cup 3rd round.

It's a massive "Yes" from me.
Our promotion to the Conference was our first ever promotion in our history.
His first season as manager too.

And won us the Spalding Cup and Lancashire Trophy too along the way.
Conference Play Offs too for the most part of that season.
Legend in my eyes is "Mr Cigar and Slippers" as we used to call him.

Yup, I think now that things have changed, there is a chance that he'd appreciate it.
