I can see him doing well, he was a vocal leader on the pitch, and bags of experience at this level.

no doubt people will be watching him with a keen eye as a former player, and future Morecambe Manager, just like in the past with Coleman at Stanley.

Striking how highly Dave Artell is thought of by many fans at the club still (and rightly so). He left over six years ago and was only on the books for three seasons in total, but is still well thought of. The Q&A event that Quinny organised with the help of Simon Farnworth as part of Jimbos testimonial celebrations remains one of the best events I've attended at the Globe: The Moose (Dave Artell), Martinez (Roberto Martinez) & Me (Jim Bentley). You could tell Artell really enjoyed his time as a player here with some of the answers he gave to the questions, and also that he was itching to get into management.

We are perfectly happy with our present former player managing us thanks George, don't be getting all ''CC INCORRECT'' on us

Fancy that. Even after what he did to them back in 2010 (scoring the winner for MFC in the 95th minute). Hope he does really well. Just a pity that we have already played Crewe twice this season. The thought of Jimbo v Moose in the dugouts is quite mouthwatering!!!! :D

Does that make 4 of our ex-players now managing in the Football League? Any other teams got that many out there??
