I wouldn't bother.
not been playing that badly in the last month or so, might work better for us having a smaller group close knit and all that.

Jim seems to achieve better results when we are down to the "bare bones".
Without Whitmore it stops him going with 3 centre backs.
If we could loan a centre forward that would be ideal although very risky going with 17 contracted players if we had an injury/suspension crisis as there are no loans now after the "window" closes.

Our Board will be busy with other stuff, as well as negotiations with the EFL no doubt. Hope they can manage to bring in a couple to freshen it up a little.
Don't think we can function without another forward

suppose a target man to replace Stockton wouldn't be a bad shout.
wonder if our mate and Jim's in charge of Crewe have any well built 6ft+ Centre forwards not getting much game time ?

They are hoping to announce a couple of deals AW, plus at least 1 more next week.

Whitmore will be back eventually, we'll end with a couple of players at least I think. Definitely need a striker as we don't have a recognised one besides Mullin at the minute.

All parties involved want the Whitmore deal to happen as soon as possible.

One thing for certain is whichever director it is won't be bringing Massanka back with him despite the guy nearly scoring a hat trick on his debut for Wrexham last Saturday coming on in the 70th minute and hitting the post with his first shot.

Are you seriously suggesting that we shouldn't have let Massanka go? Despite all the evidence we have seen, both at home and away, that the guy is way out of his depth???
Perhaps, just perhaps, Conference is his level, you know, a bit like Podge!!!

Bit unfair Freeze, he wasn't givem a chance really so we don't know either way, funny though, his situation has been mirrored AT Burnley, they took Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea, he only got 25 minutes of game time in 6 months ,and he looked unimpressive as a sub, and after recalling him, Chelsea might be getting 6 million for him off ''Boro''.

Sorry but we saw more than enough from Massanka to know he wasn't up to it.
Luke Jordan had more of an impact in 10 minutes than Massanka managed in 4 months!

Spot on. I was hoping Jim might bring him on to run at the slowish Carlisle defence in the last 5 minutes on Saturday.

Agree entirely.
York fans labelling him as Bambi On Ice wasn't far wrong.
He had plenty of game time v Cheltenham and it was patently obvious he wasn't of the standard required.

Massanka may turn out to be a really good player but he's not what we need in our situation. Whitmore is different as he's shown he can do a good job for us right now, which IS what we need.

Saw every game he played, for me, not good enough at this level.
Agree entirely that Luke Jordan showed more in ten minutes, when we had ten men!!!

Again, agree completely.
IF Whitmore can keep his cool and his head.
We can't afford any more suspensions of key players.
