Thought this deserved it's own thread. Intrigued to how it will work on the day.
Too many pies..
Too few pies
Voucher system
Pie voucher swap for beer voucher
Vouchers being sold by vegans and non alcoholics
Will Skybet simply pay the value of the crowd number.

Its the thought that counts, fair play to skybet I'm sure they could have got more bang for their marketing buck through other channels. So fair dos to them , and hope the organization complements the gesture

one thought, if they dont reimburse the club with the full retail cost , it will actually cost the club in lost profit.

Good point, or maybe we could increase our prices for the day to make more profit, so many scenarios.

Surely it will be a voucher system which will just cover a drink and hot food for each person so vegans and pop drinkers get something back as well? Excellent that this is going on when we are playing Cambridge, pay back for the free food they provided on that dreadful Tuesday night......7-0 to the shrimps then!!! :D

Only the 1st 20 odd got them. The rest of us were in the club house, and missed out.

Let's hope that the club have plans to cater for circa 1500 HOT pies on the day. Nothing worse than a cold / frozen pie....

;)

Could you sort out the bottles of water for the underage and temperant then? ;)

There's actually no hot vegan/vegetarian food available in the stands I think. I'm sure the voucher will include non-alcoholic drinks.

I've heard about the cheese & onion (I think) pie, but never seen one for sale beneath the PMG. I assume the perceived market is seen as pretty damn small amongst football fans, hence limited numbers. Be interesting to see how travelling fans view the all-vegan Forest Green fare if they come up!

I've had one in the W&L suite and, despite expecting something meaty, found it quite tasty!

I got a cheesy one for a quid outside after a game. Was gutted when I got home made mash and gravy to go with it thinking it was meat and potato. Waste of a good pie.... ;)
