Simple as, if the new regime sack Jim Bentley then that will be the final straw for me personally ,I would hope I am not alone on this one!

100%. I mentioned it in another thread. If Jim's removed then I'm done.

Sacking Jim would be a fatal mistake by a new owner who seems determined to be controversial.

If he leaves because of the changes, that would be different and I'd respect his decision.
If he's sacked, then that's unacceptable and I'll be done.

Jumps before pushed amounts to the same thing?

I said in previous posts I'd support the club irrespective of what league we'd play in. BUT if Jimbo is ousted by Cala it would have to be on a very selective match to match basis and my support would not be as passionate as it usually is. Whatever some choose to think (and I no longer care what others think) my only gripe with Jimbo is style not the man. He works bloody miracles under conditions that few if any others would tolerate and is a credit to himself and his profession.

If you're reading this Mr Cala, pay heed and listen to the supporters.

Storm the boardroom and make it uncomfortable for these people that have no connection to the club what's so ever.

I'd boycott the club if they did do this.

It's all just an if at the moment and we can all hope that it doesn't happen. But I don't think it hurts that the fans' strength of feeling on the matter is known.

I wonder if those who like me don't have any faith in the Cala bunch e mail the EFL and lodge our concerns about the entire deal..... :?: :?: :?:

Probably would have little sway but at least our protests would be on record.

like to think Jim will be given chance, but football is a result business, and if poor home form continues well..

Mr Cala, will probably watch the games just like everyone of us, and if he sees this negative stuff what's been played in the past three four seasons and let's not forget there's countless threads and discussions about this many saying as the main reason a lot have customers stay away and won't return, hence attendances .

if Jim can turn this home form around , then he should be safe, as this is where most fans only see Morecambe play, and where we make money and need as many customers as possible for obvious reasons.

I don't think it helped Coventry fans

We need to stage some kind of protest. We have been sat here like plums whilst the good name of our club and the good people that have our club at heart have been dragged through the mud by people who should never have been allowed anywhere near.

I will be joining any form of boycott if Jim, the players and the staff are treated without the respect they have earnt during this debacle.

100%

Just goes to show how tight-knit we have become over this crisis period.
Morecambe FC is Jim, Ken, the lads and the staff who continue to do their best despite all the ongoings of a bunch of headless chickens fighting in a coop at the top. They have been the only shining light in six months of an utter hopeless mess.

Whichever chicken is in fact on top needs to realise that the fighting and arguing has eroded all trust any fan might have of any person at that level. If they want to get this club going forward as a group then they have to earn that trust. Sacking Jim is quite easily the fastest way of that chicken finding himself in one of Graham's pies.

Have to agree with George. Pretty sure Cala will give him a chance to prove himself, but as he's already demonstrated with the board, there will be not room for sentiments if they don't meet his vision.

It's a money losing business, in any other trade it would have been shut down years ago. No room for sentiment if you want to see football played in Morecambe.

I don't think he's done bad at all with what he's had at his disposal.

Yep, what we need is an eccentric foreign chairman sacking the manager every five minutes because he's been frustrated watching a match. Works so well at other clubs.

Whatever failings the club has had, the continuity and stability in the team management has, in my view, been one of it's better decisions. A manager doesn't suddenly become a bad manager over night and thankfully for the last 20 years or so our club has seen this.

Just wondering how many fans gave up supporting the club when McGuigan sacked Jim Harvey on his first day back in the job after recovering from a heart attack...

Some sort of banner of support for the Doncaster game?
I think something positive is a better idea, we can't really have a go at the guy for what he might or might not do.

Exactly, competency over sentiment any day.
