If you played for club that failed to pay your wages on time for the 2nd time out of 3, would you try and find another club?
As fans would you hold it against them if they did?

yes and no I wouldn't hold it against them.

If you didn't get paid at work would you look for a new job, course you would.

Especially at this level where the guys are probably just surviving and struggling to pay their bills every month without their pay packet.

2nd time in 4 months I believe. October and January.

The non-playing staff especially would be fools not to be looking for other jobs.

If you were a player you would think twice about signing for the shrimps. Jimbo will have a problem ensuring the team are in the right frame of mind for Saturday's game. Their treatment has been shabby.

Apparently the PFA will not be paying players wages this time

And December's was paid in 2 instalments.

If that's the case if JC does not get the OK from the League and/or does not come up with the goods himself it looks as if we are finished. Could the Doncaster game be the last one? Sorry, I know it's pessimistic

I'm making the effort to go on Saturday now because things seem to spiralling out of control and I've got that feeling this is the end

This is a bad situation we're in.

I'm not thinking the worst, but.... it makes you wonder.

Sky Bet will be hoping we can hang on til the 11th - what, can't pay the wages? Never mind, have a free pie! Talk about 'let them eat cake'

I just feel so sad and helpless about all this.

There must be some way we can raise funds without getting into to many legalities, it seems to me you can crowd fund for anything nowadays without to many problems.

I wish It was as easy as going down there and saying here's a £100, to help you out. Pay it back when you get paid. But as I'm finding out it's not. There are people more intelligent than me looking at it.

I don't think that I will be serving free pies and drinks! If I have not been paid then I ain't working.............

Depends what their contract says regarding not getting paid. You can't respond to a breach of contract with another breach of contract.

a football agent speaking on radio accy last night said that if pay is not received for 2 consecutive months then players have the option of leaving.

What if it was made clear to people their donation would be non refundable and it was just a donation to the trust.

I see against league three are thinking of setting up a just giving page just to raise funds to pay for materials to go.on a protest.

Presumably that doesn't apply when pay is simply late, or paid in installments...?

Time is a good one. All the Trustees and those co-opted have full-time jobs and we're fitting Trust work into evenings, lunch breaks and any opportunities we have. If you can spare time it would be great.

Beyond that if you've got a particular skill - legal, financial, marketing, databases, technical, fundraising or anything you think would be of value then please get in touch via shrimptrust@gmail.com.
