THIS IS NOT RIGHT!

What’s happening isn’t right. Is there anyone we can turn to?
EFL? PFA? Financial Authorities? Ombudsman? Police?
What is going on at Morecambe FC is clearly wrong – it is, at best, a mess. At worst it could all see our club drifting towards a wind-up by default, because no-one can step in and do what everyone knows needs doing and sorting it out.
We have honest creditors, we have honest employees needing paying.
We have honest directors trying to sort out what – to all right-thinking people – is a mess we're in that has not been of their making - though they (or Peter at least) may have made mistakes in terms of judgment.
Yet, unless any evidence to the contrary is quickly forthcoming, we’re all – players, staff, directors, fans of Morecambe FC- being held dangling by a group of people, or possibly two separate groups, who – on the face of everything we’ve seen and heard (Mr Hashemi, possibly, apart) – are ‘middle-men’ with no discernible assets or resources of their own that we can see evidence of.
They may have access to funds – but they’ve not told us how these funds, if they exist, are to materialise or where they will come from. If we’re wrong and we have misjudged them, I hope they’ll come forward and tell us why we're mistaken.
If there is a sincere will by these people to carry our club forward – and the wherewithal to provide solid investment that will bring us a positive future – they have given us absolutely nothing to reassure us.
They ‘may’ have good intentions – but everything we have seen that's publicly available and everything we have been able to ascertain has served only to worry us and to mistrust every word they utter, every statement they make. And, knowing that, they have done nothing subsequently to allay our reasonable concerns.
What is undisputable is that somehow they have some kind of technical ‘control’ of the club's shares via ‘agreements to buy’.
IF there is an absence of substantiated assurances, solid guarantees and evidence of resources - that CANNOT BE RIGHT whatever technical paperwork they have that affords them that control.
Can anyone help us?

As I have posted elsewhere we need a meeting of local people to discuss what in the short term we can do to save our club. Lets see what money can be put in the pot to get us through this critical period. I fear Cala is another time waster like Lemos. They are not bothered about our club. WE ARE. Lets meet soon and see what we can do financially to help.

I mentioned it on a previous post but we should sort out some form of protest. We should all head to the ground, make plenty of noise and get some answers! Tell the local press and get some publicity! Who owns a megaphone?

I think it's really important that the Christies Trust are contacted in order to establish what is left of it?
j
and did that reported 8million Christies money from Sainsbury's not just go on purchasing the land but the remainder of that large sum of money go on the building of the stands too?
so if we do go bust, we still have a ground part of a Dead Mans Will what legally speaking should be honoured.

Well said Shrimper.
My message to Cala is quite simple.....'
SOD OFF WITH ALL YOUR FALSE PROMISES...YOU'VE DONE ABSOLUTELY SOD ALL TO GIVE US ANY CONFIDENCE IN YOUR ANNOUNCEMENTS OF INVESTING MONEY and AS YOU ARE NOT THE LEGAL OWNER AT THE MOMENT WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES ALREADY ....IN A NUT SHELL DO WHAT YOU DID AT PORTSMOUTH AND GO AWAY...' or words with a similar meaning...

Who would you be protesting against?
The EFL for dragging it's feet on Cala's approval and for it's tests not being adequate enough to weed out dodgy buyers such as Diego/Abdul?
Cala, even though he appears to be waiting on EFL approval and isn't actually the legal owner yet?
PMG for getting the club into such a bad way?
Considering we havn't the faintest idea what's going on nor who to blame, I don't think a random protest is really helpful.

would not be a protest, just a chance to talk with someone possibly got to show some interest rather than watching things happen online, need to show our faces.cala may be our only hope.come on lets do something!

Protest is probably the wrong word. Lets get down there and show we care about OUR club and make people take notice. We are going out with a whimper and we as supporters should make a stand. This is happening on our watch and we are watching our club die in front of us!!!

Sitting looking at a screen playing armchair Solicitor and Accountants whilst chucking about some big words is no good to anyone! I can not imagine another set of supporters taking this sort of rubbish!

Maybe a bit of investigatory work to find out where Cala is staying and confront him . He must be staying local to get backwards and forwards to the Globe so quickly, maybe the Bay radio or the Visitor know of his whereabouts.

Not saying we shouldn't make our voices heard, but what outcome would you be wanting to achieve?

Might not achieve a thing but it would show we care! What does venting on a forum achieve but here we all are doing it?

Indeed they did. Mr Di Stefano tweeted:
What's more worrying is the FL asked Cala to leave the club until they give permission.

Venting on a forum is simply that, venting frustration. A coordinated 'event' should have some idea about what it wants to achieve?
Stop Cala? Then what?
Get the 'owners' to talk to us? Get behind the trust and support them.
A general '
protest'? Likely to end in raised frustrations because it can't be 'successful' and is therefore doomed to be a failure at best.
A general '
support'? Perhaps something could be done to be positive while still making it known that we're here. Why not do it on Sunday afternoon, when more people could attend and hold a bucket collection to be distributed directly to staff (
assuming no wages arrive over the next couple of days).
