Burnard: I'm the owner, club not for sale

http://www.thevisitor.co.uk/news/no-i-am-the-owner-and-morecambe-fc-is-not-for-sale-1-8370463Slightly contradictory, at one point he says "The club needs money. Either pay the club out of its debt or go away. There is no imminent buyer. If Joseph Cala is a fit and proper person, and I am allowed to sell to him, and he has the money to put in...if anyone has the money to put in, I can sell to them. There needs to be £3m put into the club to pay the debts."
Then he says: "I’ve had many conversations with Joseph Cala where he says he’s going to do this and that. But as far as I’m concerned, the club is not for sale. Let’s get it cleaned up, let’s get it stabilised. It needs sorting out."

If Mr. Burnard is the owner then why have staff not been paid? The owner has responsibility to ensure all staff are paid on time. Has Mr. Burnard paid anyone to buy the club because this group of people hovering around our club don't seem to understand this concept. My clear message is PAY THE STAFF.

Burnard explains in his interview how he's become the owner by default due to Diego not paying him and doing a runner (last month). The whole situation is a complete mess and he probably doesn't want to hand over 10s of thousands for a problem, which he'll see isn't his.

Mr Burnard is just an account who will have no money to pay anyone and has go stuck in the middle after Diego legged it.
I still think if the court rules Burnard owns G50 then he will still sell to Cala.
Looks like Diego didn't pay Burnard either.

Same with Cala. Burnard hasn't passed the fit and proper persons test yet so couldn't pay any money if he wanted to.
As I said elsewhere, Abdul has passed the fit and proper person test and he is Burnards client so technically I suppose Abdul is the only one who can currently pay the wages?

There does not seem to be a ''happy ending'' in sight, they are all a bunch of lying twats, If it needs 3 million quid chucking in to stabilise it, most people wouldn't acceot it for nothing.

I gave up long ago browsing to any Johnstone press site on a mobile, all the same laden down with adverts. It's usually pasted onto the forum within a few minutes though

I'm sure this has been posted before but a Pompey fan I've been talking to has been keeping an eye on our developments.
Graham Burnard has not got a great history. As of 2014 he's twice been declared bankrupt and forged his dying father's signature in a family feud over the family's estate.

It seems like all the people interested in buying the club have one important thing missing-MONEY! The sale has attracted people who see us wrongly as being an opportunity to make money. As another shrimp fan said it's time for them to crawl back under their stones and leave our club alone to deal with our difficulties.

Would appear there isn't a right un' amongst the lot of em. They're all looking for any angle they can to make a fast buck and don't give a shit about collateral damage i.e. destroying our football club. We can only hope that we take them down with us in whatever way we can. Cala and Day-Glo Lemon will no doubt crawl back under whatever stone they crawled out from, but Burnard may still be about to suffer the consequences. There again if he keeps going bankrupt would civil legal action against him achieve anything?

Mr Burnard we want our club back. You may not care but we do so do the decent thing by selling it or sort the money issues before they spiral out of control. We all gain nothing if this goes pear shaped.

Yeah all absolutely useless, text disappears, pop-ups/overlay ads, syndicated spam links at the bottom. Hate it.

Could he contact Rod Taylor and Graham Hodgson and hand the shares over to people that care

To be fair, they've got to recoup the costs lost by people viewing a free webpage instead of buying a copy of the paper.

As long as they've got 3 million quid to spare, then yes, I think he could.

Deep down Nigel Adams cares but the club need him now even though he has resigned. Nigel & Rod would have been my choice. I just hope you stick to your word Mr Burnard regarding payments if the BBC is correct.

Hold on a minute I thought we were told that Abdul was the owner of G50 and had agreed to sell the club to Cala, its a complete and utter farce.

They keep changing the goal posts. Next week it will be a different story.

I understand they need to make money, but their method of serving the ads makes consumers avoid engaging with their product. Other news sites manage to do it without all the disappearing text and auto-scrolling.
