Well I am completely changing my mind about working on the Omega stand on Saturday. I am working and so is my husband. The boys did us proud at Doncaster and they have not been paid either. We all need to stick together!!! If we do not get paid so be it, but be warned....no one better complain if the service is slower as we may be short staffed, as we have not been paid yet
maybe not all the staff will come.

No right minded person would begrudge staff members for not attending, broken promises don't pay the bills, hopefully your wages will be sorted before weekend.

It's going to be a massive co-ordinated effort to plan on how many are coming and how many want pies, without actually running out... not to mention if staff turn up or not (which is their decision and won't blame them if they don't )
Hope Sky Bet pay up for the lot and pronto. We will have had quite an outlay beforehand.
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Could be absolute chaos if some staff dont turn up for work. Over 1000 people across 3 stands wanting both food and drink. The service behind the Omega is embarrassingly slow every match so how are they going to cope with significantly higher demand and potentially less staff?

THANKS Teams like Morecambe, I work my butt off on the Omega stand, and put up with abuse from people like you!!!
I know that I can not work any quicker and my team are loyal and supportive. If all the fans come at the same time to be served we can not keep up with the demand.

We have not been paid but are still putting up with abuse!!!!!!!!!!

We have actually had some nice comments and they keep us going.
Please let me know who you are at the next game and we will give you special treatment.

I think that,s totally out of order,we should be thanking the staff for still turning up for work.what would you do if you had not been payed, show some respect

I'm not criticising you or any other individual who works on the Omega. It's clear to see that the staff on there are working hard. However the service is too slow, I'm sure you will agree. By this I don't mean the staff are slow but they certainly can't cope with the half time rush. Fans have been moaning about this for years but changes haven't been made. The club are missing out on money from people who would like a half time beverage but decide not to get one because of the queues.

I'm not sure what the solution is as the club can't afford more staff/hours. A restructure of sorts is certainly needed, is it possible to have 2 alcohol queues? We only sell bottled alcoholic beverages so it's only a case of handing over a bottle and taking payment but this is currently time consuming. Are there any staff who could be sacrificed from another area (without significantly affecting it) and moved to the Omega?

You will have a greater knowledge of the issues the Omega faces and the potential solutions. What are your ideas and have these been proposed to a senior member of staff?

Give over. I'm only stating what every fan who attends the Omega has previously experienced. For what it's worth I have been to work having not received my wages.

Well you must be Mr Wonderfull!! We actually thought that we had reduced the waiting time on the Omega stand and I always apologise to people for their wait. Maybe trying to improve things are lost on some people..............

The pay from MFC is the living wage only. They can no longer take on staff under 16. We have lots of different staff on or they do not turn up at all. We would like to have the best staff on the Omega stand, it would certainly make my life easier. I think I would rather just watch the game.

Take no notice, you do a great job considering the circumstances recently. Have you heard anything yet of when you may get paid? I am sure everyone won't see you out of pocket. I know it is difficult but keep going things will work out in the end. Most clubs are in the same situation as us with not enough staff but alot to do with finances. Most away grounds I have been to have been the same with slow queues. Maybe the solution long term will also be to put vending machines for drinks if people can't wait patiently. Hope you get sorted out this week.

I've never thought it's the staff who are causing the slow service, it's the lack of "flow" due to the design of the facility and location of the tills, pies, hot drinks and beer etc. Seems an arse-about way to get the money first which is the opposite of places like staff canteens and Subway outlets which seem to manage a faster through-put, by having the slowest bit being at one end, usually the hot food leaving space for others not wanting hot food to join the queue in the middle where hot drinks usually are (another area of delay), and then leaving space for people wanting something really quick like crisps/bottled drinks next to the till. Obviously, too late to make radical changes now that would be needed, such as longer counter and moving the equipment etc.

I have a strong suspicion that Davison879 might previously have run the counter under Block D, as I've seen the lady who used to do so over the last 2-3 seasons coming back from the Omega in the 2nd half. If so, I can only say I was sorry to see her moved, as she ran a tight ship for us. I'm not saying it's any worse now, by the way, just passing a compliment. There are mahoosive queues at half time under Block D as well, and the staff can only work so fast. The only way to speed it up significantly I would say would involve higher staffing levels, and since we can't apparently manage to pay those we've currently got, there's no chance of paying additional staff, so for the time being we need to make the most of what we have. My sympathies go out to those who haven't been paid, and I hope the whole mess can get sorted sooner rather than later, preferably with no involvement from Messrs Lemos, al-Hashemi, Burnard, Cala and any others who aren't primarily concerned with the survival of Morecambe FC, preferably within the Football League, but without if necessary.
