Has the Globe finally been exorcised.

At long last there seems to be a real belief amongst fans and players that we could start to make the Globe a bit of a fortress. I can't remember the last time I left the ground with a real buzz of joy and expectancy around the place. Hopefully what we witnessed today will convince some of the wavering supporters to give the Globe a second chance. Together we can do this.

Thinking the same thing myself today. It was like a re-launch. I just hope that they can keep up the momentum. Certainly proves that decent publicity and offers will bring in more people plus the club/board engaging with fans more especially via social media. More of it please. What would have been even better was some form of voucher handed out as people left to encourage them to come back again, either a fiver off admission or a half price pie for Tuesday's game.

for me the, the difference was like watching the Lad's when playing away, they always seem to play harder away than they do at home.
I hope the penny as dropped and Jim and the Players realise home games is when most Morecambe fans watch us and spend their money, and if we can hit 2000+ every week, that would/should/could break us even, and avoid going Bust!
PS don't expect to win every game, just put more of an effort in on the pitch like today infront of home fans.

That was a very good Cambridge team that we just played off the park. They have some top players for this division such as Berry and Mingoia.
We had a bit of luck when that freaky effort that hit one of them on the back of the head and hit the post before it bounced into Baz's hands. A few weeks ago that would have gone in and heads might have gone down.
We need this ownership/investment sorting as soon as possible so we can tie our best players down before they are poached. Peter Murphy's agent was tweeting after the Doncaster match that his client had just scored his 21st goal from midfield in the last 3 seasons and he only did that for one reason !

A few other things need to be exorcised before we can truly call it home. Goodbye and thanks for all the fish PMG but your time at the top owning the company that runs the club is done. Also goodbye to MD too. The Shrimps Trust's paid Facebook campaign, the whip round for Jim and the publicity the fans have garnered by being positive shows there are other ways to run a club, engage the community and grow a crowd. And goodbye to maggots like Joseph Cala. We need beneficial owners who understand the game and the importance of the local community in making it unique, special and distinct. Only when you engage with your customers will do something special and it feels like that has begun for the first time since we left Christie Park.

Leadership of our club needs to come from a much more accessible fan friendly , inclusive regime, there is some way to go if the club is to be saved in it's present form, but the optimism and potential are there for all to see, and I feel positive news could soon be announced regarding ownership.

I hope so Mr spud but think it all depends on who wins in court this week, has Abdul already done a deal with cala and that's why he paid the wages this month? Is there any feeling what the best outcome would be this week idealy we want the outcome to be the person who will help us loom for a new owner and not sell to cala.

I'm incredibly grateful for the injection of cash that PMG put into Morecambe FC. I'm grateful to him for giving us the extra impetus that pushed us into the Football League 10 years ago. I'm also grateful for the decision to secure the future of the club by making the move to Westgate. However, the decisions when building the ground and the last seven years of stagnation have not seen the club think differently or reach out but instead pull up the drawbridge, sell the family silver and lose many of the people who helped make it the club it is. That's culminated in the utter mess of selling the club. I think everyone would be happy if PMG resolved the problem, told his story, expressed his gratitude to those who helped along the way and then stepped aside. After everything he did to get us to the Football League, where we are now is surely not the legacy he wants to leave.

We need people like Rod to be involved in whatever constitution of board/ownership evolves from the current situation.
I saw a number of people at the match that I haven't seen at the Globe for some time and everyone seemed to enjoy the match and atmosphere.

Opinions will differ on Pmcg legacy but if anything has come out of this ridiculous saga is that at long last we are United bioth on and off the pitch in ensuring that our great club comes through this episode as a United club and that is the most important aspect of all that has and will happen.

Just like to add, I saw Nigel Adams paying on today getting into the Omega Terrace amongst the 'ordinary' fan. How PMG and Mark 'bubbles' Dixon can even dare show their faces at the ground after the mess both have created and exacerbated is frankly quite astonishing.

Maybe if some took the time to actually seek out Pmcg and talk to him about how he feels and his thoughts on the entire deal rather than use this forum to assume that you know the exact facts it would help. One thing for sure he's embarrassed about the entire process to date but as is always the case it's all too easy to hide behind Svs rather than talk to someone face to face.

Not hiding behind anything , facts speak for themselves, have you any idea how many limited companies you hero has been a director of in the last 30 years CC?, well I'll tell you, it's nearly 50, so he's no stranger to company procedure etc. regarding the transfer of shares , in my opinion the whole situation is ''fishy'' and I'm not alone in thinking this, you carry on with your infatuation, would you want him back at the helm ?, I wouldn't, a fresh start is needed off the pitch with a board that listens to its supporters and puts them first.

Does the spirit of JBC still think we will have a "Sandgrown" owner soon.

Well , I went to see the medium last week and the spirit was very upbeat, funnily enough he said we shall not lose a single game whilst without an owner, I believe there will be a sandgrown un at the helm in march, I told him I had placed 20 quid on us at 250/1 for promotion and he replied ''it's possible''.

Well JC has confidence and Mr Spud has confidence so we should all have confidence.
