So who is telling the truth, Diego said he had a buyer and a offer was made, Burnard said he was unaware of any offer then one day latter confirms he was aware of a offer, the board deny any offer has been received, It just get more farcical by the day.

Watch out for a 1969 Dodge Charger named General Lee tearing along Westgate being chased by a fat chap in a white suit.

ASSUMING that an offer has been made by Mr Hogg, on checking out his company details it would appear on the face of it that he has the finances to back our club BUT as a property developer and all that that could involve going forward, I just hope that he is aware of the trust that the ground is subject to.

Surely any offer for the club is now completely out of the Boards hands and is up to G50 or whoever owns the shares.... :?: :?: :?:

Its hard not to be skeptical right now, however first impressions of this guy he seems the most legitimate player we have involved so far. We even have mutual connections on Linkedin!

If he is legit and has the funds and right motives, then surely whoever wins the court case will want to sell on to this guy? Maybe he will get the office block and hotel built as per PMG's plans. Lets just hope he keeps any further plans off the Christie's Trust land though ;)

Why do we seems to be attracting everyone from the NE.

Is no one willing to comment because of the court case, how has this chap managed to contact Diego when noone else could? Why has he suddenly come forward now or was he interested in the summer but we turned him down? How much is the directors loans about £2million? Where does this leave the supposedly signed Cala deal?

So many questions

I think it's a shame this has come out now. It just makes the fight for ownership of G50 even more ridiculous. Hopefully no one will take advantage of Mr Hogg's approach to shove the price up and they'll just see sense and recover their money. The only thing I know of Geoff Hogg is that he's done some interesting angel investments in the North East and is well connected. Been through a lot of companies though.

The Lintorpe Developments Stadium incorporating the Abdullah Rehman home terrace and Rod Taylor main stand. I could live with that one maybe.

My concern isn't so much about Mr Hogg himself (though you wonder why he has a sudden interest in our club - and he's a land and buildings bloke, rather than a football man).

It's all about how he's come to be involved. Diego (so we are led to believe) is from Qatar. How has he got to know North-East based Mr Hogg? Someone else acting in the background, perhaps. Someone who can't get involved up front for some reason? Would Mr Hogg be 'buyng' our club because he's really interested in owning and investing in a football club nowhere near his home town?

It all sounds really strange.

And, generally with this whole fiasco, Diego, Burnard, Cala's mates... they're all 'middle-men', 'former football agents' but with no great list of players they represent, financial advisers (but not with any significant companies in their names), self-professed 'enterpreneurs' - doing what?

They all look like people who try to get their names attached to people - or funding streams - or other people's businesses - or football clubs - in order to do what? Make some money by 'introduction fees', 'management consultancy fees', that kind of stuff?

It's just a mess and I wouldn't be happy with any of them, unless I hear something to persuade me otherwise.

If there's one thing I've learnt from this sorry mess its the words

"Proper Football Man"

should result in anyone not listening to a word they say.

Unless a previous director , lets call him Graham, comes in with a late bid that is better than what is on the table it seems as though we will have an owner who is not local and not a football person :(
