Mighty Shrimps Needed
Posted: Thu Mar 09, 2017 8:09 pmWhat makes Morecambe FC (The Club) different to other clubs is the community that supports it, which has aided its success over a prolonged period of time. There has always been a small band of volunteers that have assisted The Club, wherever possible and whenever required. Examples of this include clearing the pitch following adverse weather conditions to ensure fixtures can go ahead, and painting jobs around the ground during the summer months. It’s getting involved with The Club in ways like this that gives many supporters a sense of attachment and belonging.
Over the years as The Club has evolved, an embedded community spirit has remained. The Supporters Trust is compiling a full list of supporters who want to volunteer their services in ways such as those outlined above that can be called on when needed. We would urge all fans and who would like to engage with The Club on this basis to forward their details to The Trust by e-mailing shrimpstrust@gmail.com. All we need is a name, an e-mail address and the best number to get hold of you.
